I was very disappointed with this site, poor opening times of pool complex etc, outdoor pool not even open. Very little to do on site, every thing shuts about 5. 00 apart from the club. Beech not as stated, you can walk to a beach, but it is a stone beach, very tatty and a good 15 minute walk from the site.

Before we left for Valley Farm, I was hesitant as we'd never travelled to Clacton before and had heard mixed reviews. I was pleasantly surprised as we entered the park, it was not as big as some we've stayed at but it was pretty, clean and well looked after. We got in our caravan 2 hours earlier than expected. We stayed in pet friendly accommodation so expected it to be a bit daggy but the caravan looked practically brand new, had a modern interior and was clean and fresh.
The amusements arcade looked brand new along with the restaurant and take-away. The 'Showbar' looked as if it neaded a lick of paint but the nightly entertainment more than made up for it, especially since it was so early in the year. There was children's entertainment every night followed a cabaret act, which were all very good. The drinks were rather expensive so I would advise taking your own although you probably cant drink them in the club. There was also a sports court on site and a nice park and lots of grassy areas. The indoor pool was nothing to rave about but was warm and clean with sunbeds and free saunas available. There is one cash point on site and a few little shops. We also found mini bowling and a very reasonably priced hairdressers.
The beach is about a ten minute walk and takes you through a very nice part of Clacton, another couple of miles down the beach is the pier and takes about 20 minutes to walk to. We did the walk about 3 times but if your legs arent up to it there is a little train which goes up and down the promenade every 20 minutes for £1 per person. The peir is really old but still worth the walk down for a look and the beach is lovely. There is loads of nice little cafes along the side of the beach to pop in and have a cuppa or an ice cream.
Over-all it was a really enjoyable holiday, we have booked up again for later in the year. Great Park, great area, great entertainment, great weather.
