I was amazed at how helpful and kind the site manageress was. She was wonderful.
Very clean and tidy site.
It’s next to a busy garage but never bothered us in actual fact it had a great shop at really good prices.
I would definitely recommend this site.

Filling station shop on site is excellent.

This is a small touring site next to a larger site with statics. It is adjacent to a filling station and a hotel.
There is some noise during the day from an adjacent road. It is only a few miles from the Ferry terminal at Dunoon.
The showers and toilets were very clean and well serviced. The touring park area is quite scruffy but mainly hardstanding. There is a lack of places to walk a dog.
This site is ok for a one night stopover.

£23per night motorhome plus two. Small touring area next to a static park - ok for a night stop ready for the ferry in the morning.
New toilet cabin which had been fitted out slightly different from the usual. Bit noisy from the road and garage in the evening but settled down later on.
Botanic garden not far awa which we really enjoyed

Wanted to use this site for its proximity to Holy Loch and Loch Long for a long weekends fishing. Rang to book a pitch and was told to just turn up, not what you want to hear when you are driving 240 miles on the off chance.
The warden was friendly and told me to pick my own pitch for £18pn inc hookup. There was also a £5 deposit required for the toilet key (1 key between the 2 of us for ladies & gents).
Toilets were clean and had been recently painted, the only downside was that one of the toilet doors was in need of planing to allow it to shut and apparently it was the same problem in the ladies.
The site itself was an area of crushed stone, which would be fine except it was fairly uneven and because of the weather (obviously not the fault of the site ) huge puddles of water gathered around the motorhome to the extent that we had to park in 3 different places to allow ourselves a dry exit from the van.
No real noise from the service station and the road noise was acceptable. All in all not a bad site just needs a little TLC. The hotel is still unfinished.

Small site, just north of Dunoon, so handy if you're travelling north from the ferry up through Argyll to the Trossachs.
It's next to a hotel (closed when we stayed), which seems to be owned by the same owners as the site (the office seems to be run from the back of the hotel). There's a filling station next to the site also if you need basic provisions, but as it's on the main A815 road, the site can be noisy. Toilet facilities aren't bad.
There's nothing much else around within walking distance, so this is more of a stop-over site in my opinion.

Stayed on this site for 4 nights while working in Dunoon. It has a small touring area on the left of the site with room for about 18 caravans, with most of the caravans being there all season I think. We were sited on the hard standing between the loo and the reception hut.
Well kept site, mostly static caravans. It was £ 18 per night with EHU for the night. Very clean and modern toilets. 2 loos and 2 showers. Downside was 50 pence for what was a 2 minute shower, 20 pence for hair dryer, not long enough for a good shower. Very friendly people on site.
About 5 miles from Dunoon. Morrisons and Coop in Dunoon are the nearest shops that I could see. Garage and cafe next door. Garage open from 6.30 in morning till late at night. Cafe open from 9 am till 8pm. Good steak pie and chips served.
Would stay again but they need to increase the minutes for your 50 pence shower

June 2005 New owners have taken over this site which is at the back of a hotel. We went there because I had read elswhere that it was £4/night for a tent. When I got there I was quoted £12/night for a basic tent pitch. £14 if you want electric hook up too.
The toilets were spotless. But showers are metered at 50p for 2.5 mins(I think). The small touring site is next to the river but also fairly close to the road.
