This site is a gem. The managers are brilliant they can't do enough for you. We will be coming back soon. The facilities are basic but the site has got so many other things to offer.
The area has so much to see. The trolley museum is not too far away. We went into Scunthorpe it was a nice change, there is a wide variety of shops and cafes to visit
The site has not changed much since the last review in 2007. I've just spent 4 days there. It is peaceful, attractive and sheltered. The site owners are friendly and helpful.
The facilities which include WC and washbasin are basic but adequate though they'd benefit from a bit of renovation. There are hookups, fresh water points and chem wc disposal. This is an adults only site.
There is a cafe next door in the garden centre and the owners will recommend a number of local pubs if asked. Access to places to visit is still as easy as before and roads are quiet. A site to choose if you're visiting the area.
We stayed here for 2 separate weeks in April/May and used it has a base whilst we visited the nearby Trolleybus Museum. A nice site with pleasant owners. Facilities somewhat basic and the owners told us that eventually they hope to become a totally residential site. If I was looking to live in the area I would definitely consider living here.
There are lots of other places to visit and if you are into plane-spotting its next door to the airstrip. Doncaster & Scunthorpe are close by and its a 25/30 minute drive to view the Humber Bridge. Plus of course the Trolleybus Museum which must be one of the friendliest Museums in the Country and it has an excellent cafe.
