We stayed at Laggan house Leisure Park in May 2006. There were six families in our party. We go away every year and find it extremely difficult to find sites with static caravans that can accommodate all of us. The people at Laggan House went out of their way to accommodate all of us and were very understanding about the logistics of organising such a large group. When we arrived we found the vans and campsite to be immaculate and quiet in a lovely countryside setting. The children loved the freedom of the quiet countryside. There was a small park on site and the children were able to play ball games in a nearby grassy area. The people who stayed permanently on site were friendly and welcoming. We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely go back again.

July 2004 This was our very first family camping trip and was a great success with great weather and a beautiful scenic campsite. However, down sides were the position of the shower / toilet cubicles from the tent pitches, hiking boots were required! And once you manage to climb the hill to get there you are met with very 'run down' facilities. That said, we would return to this campsite but would definitely take midgie repellant next time!! The indoor private pool was a major plus!

July 04 The park itself is very well situated between Girvan and Stranraer. Only has a small touring site with approx 8 pitches. The facilities onsite were OK. Pub with family room, which if you weren't there for the 8.30pm opening time was packed out with all the regular "Static" owners. Kids were not allowed in the other Bar area which made it very difficult to have a pint or two without being frowned upon. Games room for the kids with pool table, games machines. Small indoor swimming pool which we didn't get the chance to use, but it looked OK if on the small side. Shower area was a small porta cabin with a few toilets, sinks and 2 shower cubicles which are in desparate need of a refit. I wouldn't even say they were functional, no shower holder in one cubicle and the mildew was so great that the entire cubicle ceiling was black! And they had the cheek to charge 20p for 4.5 mins of hot water !!! All that said we had a superb weekend even if we did have to wash in the sink each day !

Easter 2003 Quiet campsite, only 8 touring pitches.Mainly static vans. Toilet abd shower facilities were only average and could do with upgrading. Could not find facilities for washing dishes at all!!! Scenery around campsite was stunning. Wendyann visited at the same time and it would be intersting to read her review from the perspective of having young children with her.
