We have been advised by the owners of this site that it no longer takes touring caravans or motorhomes. It is now a lodge development only. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks
This is a beautifully well kept site. Grass pitches are spacious and well maintained. The warden is very friendly and helpful and does a wonderful job of keeping the site pristine.
The site is situated near to the river Trent with lovely walks and good quality pubs and restaurants within walking distance.
We cannot comment on the toilet or shower block as they are closed due to Covid.
There is a fairly busy road near by but we didn't find the noise intrusive and it certainly quietens off on an evening.
I feel the site is less suited to young children as there is no play ground or great space for them to run around in.
All in all a great little site for a few nights away. For £15 pn you can't go wrong. We will definitely be back.

Riverdale is a lovely site, very well kept. As it is just at side of the river it is in the perfect position, only a couple of minutes walk from some excellent pubs and restaurants. We had dinner in the Unicorn pub which was very nice.
The owner of the site is a lovely lady who is very helpful l, due to the COVID restrictions the site facilities were closed so couldn’t comment on them.
Only stayed here for one night as changed our caravan at a nearby dealers so wanted to try it out. Very clean tidy site with several hard standings to the side of the entrance in to the residential park. Only downside was the toilet block which could do with refurbishing as toilet doors were MDF and didn’t shut too well and only cold water in sinks, ok for one night stay. Plenty of restaurants very nearby and nice walks along the riverside. The unicorn hotel within close walking distance serves excellent hot food. Lady warden very nice and friendly.
Nice little site but definitely not one for kids as it is a residential site and there is nothing for them to do.
The toilet and shower block are very tired and could do with a make over but they are kept clean. A lot of noise from the main road till early hours of the morning. A lot of nice eating places in the village but no shop.
A nice country location with some really nice walks and cycle rides from just across the road.
Easy access into the towns of Nottingham and Newark with a few buses coming past
Very clean tidy site - lovely lady owner - plenty of pubs restaurants close by - facilities electric - water - showers and toilets (a little tired but clean and tidy) The site consists of a few static vans that are very well looked after don't get the wrong impression its not like you see at the coast that look over powering. Located at the side of the River plenty of walks - will definitely go again
