It was almost the end of the season and the site was largely empty. We booked a beach side pitch and to our surprise each pitch not only had hard standing and electrical hookup, but also mains water and WiFi.
As I understand it, there is usually a charge for WiFi and for the showers, but we were given them free as we were experiencing problems with our caravan, which was a nice touch.
The site is near to a town yet in the countryside, it has stunning sea views and is kept absolutely spotless. The owners even brushed up the sand every day!
I would recommend staying here, but perhaps in one of the quieter periods as I imagine it can get quite busy.

Stayed here at the weekend 14th June 2012. Got a sea-front space as it wasn't busy which was fantastic. The weather wasn't great but any breaks in it the kids were on the beach. Would say its the best location I've been to so far as its right on the beech.
Toilets were clean and tidy and only downside to this is the hand dryers were crap and need updating as it takes ages to dry your hands but they worked ok. Staff were very nice.
Pitches are all fully serviced with water and waste and a connection for your tv which I didn't know was there until the day I was leaving and my neighbour told me about it. Great feature so you don't need to put up the sky dish just connect into it.
Could do with the grass being re-seeded as was a bit untidy where you put the awning.
Small play park beside site and a shop in the site nearby with a cafe/takeaway and a bigger park 5 mins walk away. All in all a great caravan site and I will definitely be back in the summer.
£22 without awning and £23 with awning.

Stayed here by chance, its small with 4 rows for caravans, the front row is nearly on the beach, only a small rock barrier to climb down, the kids do it in seconds.
Its a first come first serve basis, we arrived with no sea front spaces left, only by chance did somebody leave the next morning and we took their spot, and boy was it worth it. At night the waves are only feet from your caravan, very relaxing to listen to, the view is fantastic, great just to sit out and chill to.
The down point is that the beach gets rather busy with power boats, sadly accidents have and will happen, keep an eye on the kids if they go out into the sea as there's no flagged off area in front of you.
The showers, you have to pay for, and seeing as the toilet block had no soap and the hand dryer was broke I used my own in the caravan, the toilets them selves were average and there's only 2, you may need to queue!
Saying that the location I got was great, but it was the front, we stayed for 3 weeks until the kids had to back to school, I'll be back 2011 and hope for another sea front pitch.

The facilities are clean & tidy.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The site for the touring caravans is right on the edge of the beach and to us is the best place to camp!
You cannot pre-book, which makes a pleasant change as most sites are fully booked for bank holidays before the end of January.
We have been back to this site at least 10 times in the last year, usually at weekends and bank holidays. We love it and so do our dogs!
Kilkeel is about 10 minute drive away, Warrenpoint is about 20 minute drive away.
It is an unspoilt part of the world!
