On the day of arrival it had been raining for many days
On our arrival on the site we reported to the pub which we were told to’ find our name on the board and park up in front it. ’
The grass was sodden, But with a 4x4 & 30 years experience driving HGV 1 made light work revering up a slight slope. Leaving tyre marks. With in minutes the site warden appears from nowhere and complained, as he felt that he was the only one who could drive on wet grass.
Toilets
Men 2x toilets + 1 urinal
Ladies 2 x Toilets
Only Cold water in a very small sink NO soap or drying facilities ( No hot water tap)
Showers
Men. 2x
Ladies. 2x
The water was only Luke warm on every occasion throughout the weekend
There was no accessible toilets or Showers
There was no Sluice.
Due to being told about the grass and seeing what was happening to the grass we left our car on the car park, whoever on one occasion the car park was full so I parked outside my caravan. As soon as we returned the Warden was back again to complain and told us it was his pet hate.
This is Not a child friendly site, as they don’t allow children under the age of 10 in the pub.
This is a CASH ONLY site
Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience on this site, please bear this in mind when planning your trip.
On a good point, it is within walking distance to all amenities

Absolutely lovely traditional pub with friendly staff,
We had a fantastic ten nights the here,
The pub is a traditional pub serving home brewed ale as well as traditional ale, the food was excellent and the whole place is spotlessly clean
All in all a fantastic place to stay.

We visited the site in July 2014. We stayed for 2 nights, the site was lovely, clean and tidy, the staff were also lovely. We did arrive towing our caravan with a van, which we were told vans wasn't allowed on the site, however they allowed us to pitch up which we were very grateful for as to not ruin our stay. The showers/toilets were immaculate. We also went into the pub for a meal which was also lovely. A stroll into the main part but not far at all, really liked it as it was away from all the hustle and bustle of Ingoldmells but only a stroll away. We Could not fault it in anyway at all, and we will hopefully be going back. Thank-you very much for a lovely stay. Sarah

This is a lovely site the owner was there when we arrived to tell us where to go. The site is level and lovely short grass.
You are on a very busy road so there is road noise all the time but we knew this and it wasn't a problem.
It is not far from fantasy island and the beach and there is plenty of shops within 100 yards.
We drank and ate at the pub and the meals was brilliant in fact you would have to book for their sunday lunch because it is so busy
The toilets and showers was kept clean at all times.

Arriving in Ingoldmells at 8pm we popped into this pub to ask if they knew of any campsites that did a late check-in, as we hadn't booked up beforehand. Imagine our surprise when they said that they took tourers on their lawn at the back of the pub!
We only stayed for one night and it was £12 without electric hook-up. Its a lovely flat lawn which is kept immaculate and it is only about a 25 minute walk to Ingoldmells Fantasy Island. Within a 5 minute walk there are a couple of other pubs, some shops and a take-away. The countryman also does lovely bar meals and the staff are realy friendly.
You are camped around the edge of the lawn, with plenty of space either side and no-one camps in the middle, so its ideal for children to play. There is a toilet block, with one small sink and a shower block which costs .20p - both were clean, but very basic.
The only down-side to this site is the noise from the road. My husband and I are both heavy sleepers but by 8am the road noise was unbearable, we packed up and moved on.

Secret Madcaravanner’s hideaway this
2003 Prices £13 a night all in (pitch/hook-up/awning)
Imagine a pub with a field behind it with a huge hedge to hide the field Add a basic sanitary block open 24 hours and dedicated shower (you get a key per van). There are site wardens to keep it clean too.
Then put a dozen electric points around the perimeter. Then leave a large clear area in the middle of the field for kids to play safely.
You can go to the pub and have a meal or go to the door with your plates and get a meal to take back to the van. The pub is a Free house & they have a family room, and although dogs are welcome on site they are not in the pub due to it serving food.
This pub is close to the Three Tuns another excellent eating place.
Everyone knows Ingoldmells is they place where everyone goes to Skeggy now.
This site is ideally situated at the top of Ingoldmells near to the church - There is Sea fishing just a mile away on the beach. Usual species that you get on the East Coast .
Tackle Shop (Vanguard) is just round the corner from the site
