Visited this delightful site in August 2006 for a 15night stay. Despite the incredible weather (perfectly clear until 9.00a.m., then very cloudy until 6.00p.m. Then clear for the rest of the day - this happened every single day!) my wife, my two young sons (4 and 6 at the time) had a fantastic stay. As mentioned previously, the pool complex was ideal - good sized main pool, small infant pool, two different type of slides - these kept my boys happy for hours. There was also an area for football/volleyball and a lovely little play park for the very young children (always busy). We were situated at the bottom of the site near the estuary - it was undoubtedly lovely down there but it did have its drawbacks. It is very hilly up to the main amenities (shops, pool, bar) although admittedly not exactly far (300-400 metres max) and its too steep for little ones to ride their bikes or play ball by the tent (mine were very disappointed with this part!). On the positive side, the toilet and shower complex at the bottom were immaculate, cleaned at least 3 times a day, the path for little walks around the headland was nearby and the pitches were large and beautifully divided by healthy hedges. With regard to the pitches I must reinforce the point made by a previous reviewer - some of the pitches are an irregular shape and don't always fit your accommodation! We had to move from our allocated pitch because it didn't fit our large tent. The owners were excellent - they really made us feel welcome and helped us settle - even providing an extension for our power cable (thats another point, some of the electricity boxes were a very long way from the pitches so ensure you have at least 30m worth). La Foret Fouesnant is a quaint little village with a very useful 'Spar' type shop selling all key essentials (including British newspapers). This was only a short drive from the site as was Concarneau, a delightful town that you must visit with its walled town and great festival, La Fillet Bleus (if you are there mid August). It also has some nice cove beaches on the journey from the site and also a Leclerc's hypermarket. One of our greatest disappointments with the area was the quality of the beach when we were there - the pictures showed a stunning sweeping beach front but didn't show the seaweed! We only used the beaches for evening walks in the end(stunning that they were) due to the sea weed in the water, the relatively poor weather in the day time and the distance from the campsite (and associated lack of parking at the beachfront) and that did spoil our stay a little. We also thought the estuary may have provided a safe bathing area but it was exceptionally seaweedy! All in all though it was a memorable holiday, a lovely site for perhaps couples or families with slightly older children, a great location for visiting Concarneau, Benodet and Quimper with very friendly and helpful owners who will do their best to ensure you enjoy your stay.

Loved this site, not commercial, not typical, very relaxing. Private hedged terraced pitches most have good view but be aware if you choose a pitch nearer the sea it is a uphill walk to pool, shop etc and that in early season the toilet/shower block at the top of the hill is the only one open! Direct access to small cove and access from this cove to 'all singing' euro camp site for book exchange etc. Main beach nearby may have problem with seaweed and flies. Close to Concarneau and large hypermarket.

We cannot over recommend this site - It was our first introduction to camping in France and it was fantastic - lovely spacious pitches in an old orchard so very private with three sides of privit hedges. We took our own tent (2 adults/2 children) and had a fabulous pitch overlooking the estuary. Very scenic. If you have a large square tent migth be worth mentioning this when booking as some of the pitches are long ang rectangular - our tent wouldn't fit on the first pitch. Very French site with a few independent Brits but NO big operators on site (eg: Europcamp) this might be a problem if you have older children who want a bit of 'life' - disco and evening entertainment very geared to French clients. Lovely pool, clean with great water slides that kept our 2 children happy for hours. There is a big campsite right next door and you could be unlucky to be pitched near to the boundary hedge. Tents are all located further away. Very clean shower block etc. Probably a 70/30 split with mobile homes being the 70% - we had such bad weather for the 1st couple of nights that the owner took pity on us and gave us a complimentary mobile home - could of been the Ritz - absolutely wonderful - very well kitted out and so new and clean! Having said that the mobiles are very close to each other and you had more privacy in a tent. Keranterc is in a lovely part of Brittany and I think we just had bad luck with the weather. Fabulous beaches but gosh they got busy in the heat - you can find smaller coves tho and great bike rides. Beware - we drove down from Calais and it is one long way to drive!

August 2002 A really pretty little site with access to a small cove and coastal path. Each pitch in the older area has an apple tree on it. Site has a very french atmosphere and is heavily used by the French which we thought made a nice change in France! Toilet blocks are unisex and clean with enough of them not to cause any problems. Not luxurious but more than adequate with lots of hot water.
Shop on site selling fresh croissants etc and has take away with really scrummy pizzas. Free use of tennis courts. Swimming pool with slide. Table tennis and pool. Activities organised each day for children and usually something happening in the bar in the evening.
This is a really lovely area with lots of pretty villages and nice beaches. Market on every day somewhere in the vicinity - details from reception.
Weather was pretty awful during our visit but we still really enjoyed it. Friendly site with good facilities and well placed. 9/10
