Like the other reviewer, we got the impression this was a park more for statics than tourers - with a lot of long stayers there.

The power station is a bit off-putting - always in site - but the views over the bay are outstanding.

As for the site - beware three things - (1) Site drainage is somewhat poor - our camper had to be towed out of the mud to a better spot.
(2) Hookups are very low rated - around 5 Amps - and you can't reset the trips yourself which I though to be rather poor - especially as our night heater tripped them and we had no heat till the next morning.
(3) Toilet blocks - rough and ready - first in gets inferno temperature showers, next gets warm, late gets cold - and there are no mixers - so you get scalding hot at times. Also no loo roll.

Plus points (there are some!) - the shop is excellently stocked, site is clean, the beach goes for miles and one of the best and very popular fish and chip vans visits once a week - be prepared to queue up for a quality tea!

Morecombe is a few minutes drive away and there is a good supermarket on the way there too - though nearby villages are empty.

Final thought - the roads to the site are very narrow with few passing places - prepare to wait or reverse at times.

Enjoy your stay!

A well placed site, right on the edge of the beach, in fact you could pitch your tent or caravan right on the edge / front of the site and have a lovely view of the beach and sea, with the beach only a few paces (down a small slope) away!
The down side of this is that Heysham Power Station (to the right as you look out to sea is a rather prominent feature, but can easily be ignored if you try!)
The beach was great for my two boys aged 5 and 7 who found tons of crabs and marine life in the rock pools. When the tide goes out there is miles of sandy flat beach to walk and play on - although check out your tide times as the tide comes in very quickly as we all know from recent tragedies on Morecambe beach.
The site is mainly for Static Holiday Homes which are beautfully looked after and I get the impression that the owners do not push the tourer or tent side of the business. The toilets are very basic but clean, toilet Roll is not provided or any soap or any means of drying your hands! The showers could be lovely and warm or stone cold - it seemed to depend on the time of day.
The field we were placed in which was adjacent to the football play area was large and well spaced and with few other caravans there (even for a Bank holiday). There was tons of room in the middle of the field for the boys to ride around on their bikes and easily not get in anybody elses way.
The shop was well stocked but limited in its opening times, although there are various towns within a very short driving distance. A relaxing, but basic site in terms of toilet facilities, but probably one that we might go back to.
