 This site is easy to find, large and with good facilities, but the grass had not been cut due to the bad weather and this was rather annoying; the field was quite boggy in places as well.
The very useful shop/garage has already been mentioned, they also had 6kg calor gas bottles which seem to be like hens' teeth.
The best walks we thought were along the Montgomery Canal. There is also one to Rodney's Pillar, but rather boring.
Malcolm the owner is pleasant and helpful; we would use the site again but would hope to find the grass in better condition. £15 per night is fine.

I use CL's regularly and Grantley Court is without doubt the best I have seen and puts other more expensive ones to shame.
A friendly welcome, immaculate facilities, spacious pitches on well kept grass. Didn't need any levelling except by jockey wheel. The wifi was great despite the fact that we were about as far away from the repeater as possible - Malcolm did warn us it may be difficult there but it wasn't.
The location is a great base for exploring the Welsh border area and Malcolm provided us with a comprehensive booklet showing all the attractions in the area with QR codes so we could just point the phones at them and get to their websites.
Maps of walks in the area provided in the information hut along with all sorts of useful information. Whilst there we were able to visit Powis castle, Chirk castle, Chirk Aquaduct (pleasant canal walk ) Hawkstone Park.
There is a garage with a shop close by and a pub that serves food. Although we tend to try different areas each time we go out,
I would not hesitate to return to this site, it is everything I would wish for.

Lovely site run by very nice people, we stay there quite often during the summer.
Nice quiet secure site with grassy pitches that are kept mown, fresh water point and clean elsan point.
Two toilets and a shower on site, washing up sink with hot water for tent campers and dog friendly.
Pub and fuel station with a great shop that sells fresh bread meats etc. within walking distance of site.
What more can you ask for!

Absolutely wonderful quiet campsite. The owner, Mrs Sanderson is such a lovely welcoming lady and if she is not home when you arrive, the welcome pack will be attached to the fence.
The site takes 5 units, caravans, motor homes, tents and trailer tents and is very dog friendly.
The site is flat, mowed grass with good spaces between the electric hook up points, there is a shower room with toilet and wash basin, a separate toilet with wash basin, an out door sink with hot and cold water where you can wash your dishes or clothes, 2 fresh water points, chemical disposal and grey water drain.
No extra charges for anything, all included in the £12. Per night charge.
Filling station with large shop / post office about 1mile away nice pub that serves meals is about 3/4 mile.
