We stopped overnight on our way to butlins mine head and had a very nice stay. Quiet site with lots of birds and farm animals to see. ( including a cow having a calf) the owners were very friendly. Small but clean site. Free showers. Fascinating for town dwellers.
This is a working farm with a friendly dog that likes sausages. Not recommended to feed it as you will have a friend for life lol. We had a big military aircraft fly over us once but I was a bit slow with the camera.( so no proof)
Will go again

We stayed here for the Spring B/H as we needed to get back to an event at home on the Sat and needed a site an hour away or less.
What a find! This site is set well back from the main road (by about 1 mile), so whilst easy to find and access, it suffered no road noise. Small cert site with level pitches and some with EHU. Views over the surrounding countryside.
Wonderfully large pitches and very unobtrusive owners (which very much suits us). A note on the farmhouse door told us which pitch was ours.
Both the single toilet and toilet / shower / dishwashing cabin were spotless and well maintained. The shower was hot and as there were only 6 - 8 units on site, we experienced no problems with availability of the facilities.
I don't really see how anyone can book to stay on a dairy farm and feel the need to comment that it smells like one or about the early morning mooing! We had a nice visit to see the calves and lambs which my children thoroughly enjoyed. The crows drove us bananas at 5am each morning though!
No need for kiddy boredom - a farmyard on site, other kids to play with and masses to do within a 10 mile radius.
Lechlade was a nice town to visit with pleasant walks along the Thames. There are cinemas, an ice rink, soft play, designer outlet and Steam museum to name but a few things to do in Swindon (15 minutes away). And Roves Farm with lots for smaller kiddies to do in Highworth (about 5 - 10 minutes away). We had a day at the Cotswold Water Park (15 minutes from site)and had tremendous fun!
I didn't expect to have such a good time or feel like I was on holiday so close to home. I was wrong! We had a great stay - so much so that we have booked up for July.

We stayed at Northleaze for 2 nights in May. It is a very small site attached to a dairy farm. The facilities are basic but did not fall short of our requirements. There was some pitches with electric, a small 'stand alone' toilet cubicle, and then another cabin with a shower, toilet and sink with plenty of room to move around, there was also one plug socket in there for essential use (hair straighteners!).
The owner was lovely, and very helpful - she gave us directions a couple of times, and lent us towels when we had forgotten our own!
The site is just a 5 mins drive from civilisation, with a couple of lovely pubs in Lechlade, especially the Trout which served food each lunch and evening.
We were just a couple using the place as a base for Radio 1 Big weekend, but I fear children of any age might get a little bored.
Lovely place, surrounded by cows, sheep, some chickens, and a couple of friendly resident dogs that cause no trouble at all!

Visited this site May bank holiday weekend with two kids 8 & 7. Very helpful on the phone. When we arrived owners were not there but pitch was already selected. Lovely quiet site with only a few pitches meaning no queues for facilities. Visit around farm to see cows, calves, sheep and lambs were great for kids. Owners very friendly and helpful. Would love to come back.

An excellent site, which we thoroughly enjoyed, even though our stay was for one night only. It is very quiet and peaceful, despite being only 5 minutes drive away from the main road, with the cows making the only noise that I could hear. The toilet/shower facilities were charming, with great care and thought put into them. Highworth is well worth walking into; there is a convenient footpath that cuts out the main road; with many fine old stone buildings and two fish and chip shops, and the view on the return walk back to the campsite is beautiful. We will certainly use this site again, as it is right on the Thames long distance footpath.

Just the job, level site with plenty of space. Electric hook up + small toilet/shower that's kept clean. Everything you want, perfect peace & quiet & apart from the cows waking you at 6am & birdsong a plenty the site is a relaxing oasis.
We'll come back again as our trip was cut short through family emergency.

This is a fantastic cl site;
It is in beautiful surroundings and very clean; The owners are nice & helpful; It is just what you would expect from an 'away from it all' site, open countryside and no noise just birds.
Good pub locally is The Trout, just outside Lechlade.

We stayed at this lovely campsite just for a weekend. It was a great base to visit our friends and family in the area. Our children, aged 6 and 4 loved being on the farm and our tent was pitched right on the edge of the field that was full of pregnant cows! When we woke the next morning there were lots of newborn calves. This kept the children occupied for sometime!
The facilities were quite basic, shower and toilets and a room for washing up. The owners were very friendly and did not mind the children looking round the farmyard.
Swindon is very close at hand and also Cheltenham is only about 45 minutes away. We will definitely return to this site as a base to visit our friends and family again.

A very well cared for level site. One mile down farm lane so peace and quiet is one of the main features. A working farm so care should be taken by smaller children.
Pitches are marked out but there is plenty of space and shower and toilets are available as well as electric.
Close to the Thames with lots to see in the surrounding areas.
