Lovely site with very friendly owners. Toilet are clean and well kept. The pool was nice and warm, although heated by log burners and if the wind is in the wrong direction the smoke covers the pool!
The shop sells all the essentials (bacon and eggs, beer).
The down side, and this will stop us coming back, was the main dual carriage way to Bournemouth was less the 100 meters from our tent. The noise never stopped day and night.
As we live in a rural location, this kept us up all night. The other noise was the planes which start at 6:30. There where a few in the small hours as well.
The kids enjoyed seeing if the could identify the pilots!

Visited the site for 4 days over Easter weekend in April 2011 and we were lucky to have really great weather. The camp site has a nice outdoor heated pool with sun loungers etc and a club house that serves snacks, soft drinks and canned beer/cider for really good value.
Felt like we were in the south of France and we spent one of the days just by the pool without having to move.
The owners were very friendly, helpful and easy going. We were a family group of 9 people aged 25-30 and although very respectable we thought we might get a hard time being stereotyped as a younger mob, but we were made to feel very welcome and didn't feel guilty for having a few beers around the pool.
The facilities were clean, the showers were hot and powerful (and free), the location is good and the pitch price was very reasonable - all in all I'd rate the site very highly and definitely recommend it!
The location is ideal for a quick drive to Bournemouth beaches and also the New Forest, and the dry ski slope with its restaurant and bar is walking distance for an easy evening out.
The only slight negatives are the noise from the road and the nearby airport. The road is fine once you're used to it but the early morning flights can wake you with a bit of a shock! But we made the most of the early morning wake up call to get out and about earlier than we would otherwise. The problem could easily be rectified with a set of ear plugs.
We had an excellent weekend and would hope to return again in the summer!.

Have just got back from a 2 night stay at this site whilst paintballing with friends nearby.
First impressions weren't very good. Ours was the only tent (not too surprising for October I guess), but out of the many (many many) caravans on site, most looked in need of lots of TLC. The facilities (showers and toilets) were clean and well lit, and I think the price, at £16 per night was a little high for out of season. The pitch was level and drainage seemed ok though, and the owner was friendly and helpful.
There's a dry ski slope just up the road, a paintballing site 10 minutes away, and Bournemouth is around 20 mins by car. The airport wasn't too intrusive noise wise, but the road does get noisy, and it doesn't stop all night.
In all, the site was ok, and I would stay again if in the area, but it wouldn't be a site that I'd immediately choose as a holiday base. Maybe things are different in peak season.

I have visited this site for 8 years now. It is a very clean and friendly site and is maintained well by both Rose and Tony the owners. It is a perfect site for all ages. I visited when my children were teenagers and they adored it, especially with a pool outside their caravan! I now have a little one and I hope she enjoys many happy holidays here too. The site is right next to Bournemouth Airport but I always saw that as a plus as I love to watch aircraft coming into land. Watching the Red Arrows coming in is always a pleasure. A perfect site for a relaxing holiday.

Just returned from weekend here, good site with very clean facilities. Outdoor swimming pool which looked clean andinviting.Small shop on site which sells all the basics. Owners very friendly and very relaxed, to my relief after attending family wedding on the saturday and having a little bit too much to drink, was told could sleep it off until sunday evening if I wanted. Very grateful. Good base for visiting New Forest, Bournemouth etc. Ski centre just up the road. Would definitely visit again and recommend.

We stayed on this site for one night whilst visiting friends who have a static caravan elsewhere in Christchurch. Site was fine, good facilities, we didn't use the pool but it looked clean and well kept. Staff were friendly & helpful. Would stay again but. The noise from the A338 was intrusive and I was surprised at the early morning flights, luckily my children managed to sleep through the 02:50 flight going over.

August 2005 A wonderful holiday again!
The site is well maintained and every effort is put into making sure people have a good holiday. Cooked Food is available from their small shop along with day to day groceries, snacks, sweets, ice creams and alcohol!
There is a small swimming pool which is very well maintained and children of all ages can learn to swim there . An excellent family site if you have smaller children and there is a little park on site for them to play in also. The site backs onto the New Forest where you can enjoy walks. Their are washing facilities on site and shower blocks and toilets which are cleaned several times a day.

31/08/03 A nice site to go to, would definetly visit again. Close to New Forest, Mudeford , Christhurch, Boscome and Bournemouth, with 20 minute drive for all places. Recommend Mudeford Quay for crabbing as my boy loved it. It was £19.50 per night peak season including hook up for a tent. A bit noisy as it was next to Bournemouth Int airport but you didn't notice it after 2 nights. Small swimming pool and owners did breakfast every day, sold bread and stuff, licensed to sell beer, even got sunday papers at no extra cost which was very nice of them. Not much more to add but it was a very good site as far as I was concerned as I have now visited 3 or 4 this year on my travels.
