This is just the ticket, if you want a quiet site with ample facilities. The owners could not have been more helpful and charming. Five miles away from Ludlow set in idyllic countryside. Two pubs just down the road, both serve food but did not eat in either, so can not comment. Hope to return soon.

At a little gem of a caravan park, set in the village of Orleton, Ludlow. The site itself has lovely views of the nearby Mortimer Forest. It has a small sloping field with enough room to accommodate about 5-6 caravans. The site is set near a quiet country lane and has clean and ample facilities. There are two toilets and a shower and a place to wash up with hot water. The owners are very friendly. This site is great for mature people who like peace and quiet, not really suitable for children. We stayed in our own caravan but there is a caravan that belongs to the owner that is available to rent (three berth). This is a great location - 5 miles from the historic town of Ludlow and in the other direction, 5 miles from the town of Leominster. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve lovely food. The local shop is literally on the doorstep. This is a great site to use as a base for visiting surrounding towns, local walks and attractions. If you like peace and quiet this is definitely worth a visit.

Just what we were looking for - small and quiet, with great pub within a few minutes level walk even at my snail's pace, village shop across the road. Very helpful owners living next to site. Enjoyed a family get together (4 adults in 3 tents). Only one or two other tents now and again in early July. We managed to group our three small tents together on a slight slope which was fine, but part of the site is quite steep, and on the busiest night (Saturday) those campers looked a bit uncomfortable. Well-maintained grass. Good food shops in Ludlow, but expensive. Farm shop on main road towards Ludlow. Lots of countryside! We're returning for another few days this year - suits us all.

Sept 2003 This is a really lovely site. Well managed by the owners who live in the bungalow next door. It is part sloping but tents should be able to find a flat bit at the bottom of the field. It's situated in a quiet village with a store a two minute walk away and a really excellent pub a further minute away. The pub does superb food and booking is advisable for Saturday nights.
The facilities, including toilets and the free showers are always very clean and a little quirky being housed in a heated, revamped shed! There are also dishwashing facilities provided and unusually an electric kettle for that emergency cuppa!
The owners couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. Ludlow is about 6 miles away and is well worth a visit.
