We have been advised that this site no longer has any touring / camping facilities, those pitches unfortunately having been replaced by additional Park Homes.
If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

Having briefly read the reviews-this seemed like it ticked most of the box’s except for lack of showers, but for a couple of nights that’s ok. I came away with mixed feelings so I’ve listed things I liked and things I didn’t like so you can make your own minds up, yes I'm being picky but sometimes its the little things that make the difference.
Things I liked-pick your own plot-good sized pitch’s-warden not over bearing-well kept field with nice tree’s-lovely static homes in well kept park.
Things I didn’t like- no signs for the site on main road – pulling into the builders yard to access the site with caravan sticking out into the main road because a lorry’s blocking the entrance (there is a car entrance in green lane)-toilet in a shed with sink but no hot water, as in there’s no hot water connected at all - price at £14 per night rather than advertised on web site at £13. 50 - while the site was quiet the road running parallel to it isn’t - the elsan being blocked and full, - the ukcampsite entry say no tents but there was one allowed

A very pleasant site, located at the rear of the residential park home site. Go through the yard in front of the outdoor store next door (just past) the King's Head pub. Go through the gates (a bit of a pain to open and shut#, turn right at the end. It's quite spacious; there are a lot of trees but the warden will direct you if you want satellite tv #best to mention this in advance at peak times#.
As said, it's well maintained and easy to find once you know it. There is a Shell garage nearby #you will see it if coming through the town#; it doesn't sell alcohol #boo hoo#, has soft drinks, sandwiches etc. Plenty of shops #and pubs!) in the town.
There is a canal just before the garage which is good for dog walking, and if you turn right between the park homes at the back you will enter Green Lane, turn right, walk down and you will find Newport Stud which has a path between horsey fields leading to a field for more dog walks. Turn left at Green Lane to get to the road which will save opening/closing the gates if on foot.
The toilet/washroom is clean but old.
Price now is £13. 50 per night, fair enough.

What a lovely little site. Just like an oasis in a desert. There is only one toilet in a 6ft x 8ft shed and has a wash basin but no shower. Two clean water stand pipes and one chemical toilet disposal point. The site is very well manicured and the wardens are very pleasant and show you to your pitch. I might suggest you have some blocks of wood handy as part of the site is a bit uneven but not to bad. Around the outside edge of the site there are high trees and plenty of shrubs to give shade from wind and make it a sun trap. The local town of Newport has most things you need from small shops to supermarkets and pubs. There is no need to take the car out once you are set up. A visit to the local aircraft museum at Cosfort is a must and is free. We are definitely going again even if it is 150 mile from home.

Great site close to the town some good pups in the town the site is well kept plenty of space. The single toilet was basic but used caravan facilities overall great site will use again soon. Newport is a very nice town with a good selection of shops pups etc. good walking along the disused canal close to some major towns. The site is very quiet and peaceful dog friendly would highly recommend you try this site.

Just returned from staying four nights at this lovely little site. Used our own facilities as there is only 1 toilet. Difficult to spot the entrance of the site, you have to go through a builders yard, but once you get in, what a lovely suprise. Lovely grass, not boggy trees and all the spring flowers out in bloom. Only 9 pitches, we were met by Jim the site manager for the site, but only for the winter months, he has the summer off. The town is 5 mins walk and two pubs right on the doorstep. Kings Head very friendly and the Bridge Inn had a band on Fri night, we all had a fab time, Sat there was a Kareoke night, which we joined in, well noone knew us ! Lovely walks on the canal and over fields to Norbury juntion and a great walk in the Shrewsbury direction. Great time was had by all of us. 3 Vans Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful quiet site I think about 9 or 10 spacious pitches all grass all electric hook ups.
Only 5 minutes to Kings Head Pub, other half loved it small and real ales. 10 minutes into town plenty of restaurants, Cafés and Bars.
Waitrose and Coop in town and Morrisons a short drive away.
Nearest spot for papers the local garage 5 minutes away (very good petrol prices)
Only downsides just one loo and wash hand basin in a hut no wash-up areas or showers, so you do need own facilities. no site shop but plenty in town and the site was not very well sign posted all though SAT NAV did get us there.
A good site for seeing the local area.
A lovely site for peace and quite and close proximity to Newport will go again

Great Adults Only site, very spacious pitches, you'd never believe it is literally a 5 minute walk into Newport town centre where there are plenty of shops, pubs etc & a market Friday & Saturday, a hidden gem, highly recommended.
Manager very helpful & obliging, site is directly behind the Kings Head pub, we plan to return very soon.
We have been to loads of sites over the years & this counts as one of the very best.
