Our third stay here. We love the site. The owners are friendly and helpful. Site was fairly busy but not crowded. We love the sheltered location.
Toilet block clean but not the most modern. Even though there were a few units on the site we only had to queue for the shower once and not for long. There is a note in the block that if there are more than three people queuing, you should speak to the owner. I am not sure what they would do but suspect they would allow us of their own bathroom.
As we go to Mull for the wildlife we do not tend to use the local restaurants etc, preferring to pop something in the slow cooker so we can eat at whatever time we get back. We have used the Craignore Inn in the past and enjoyed our meal.
Be warned if you do want to visit this site make it before September as it is closing then, the owners are retiring. We will miss the site.

Not impressed to be honest, we paid £17 per night, I have been on better sites that charge £10. As said, there is 1 shower and loo (unisex) and these are in the washing up area. The midges were truly terrible, even with the machines which are supposed to zap them (I think they only come on when it's getting dark). Mull is lovely, but we wouldn't stay on this site again. The pitches are flat, but getting off the site is a bit tricky, gravel chippings and a slope.
Tobermory is nice, but a bit far away.

This is a small friendly site. We were on a level, firm gravel pitch among trees not far from the toilet / shower block. No views but pleasant surroundings. There is a small rivulet runs across the lower part of the site where we were and I suspect this could get very midgy at times. There were quite a few around while we were there.
Although there was only one shower and two toilets for the whole site we found we did not have to wait at all to use either. All the hard standing pitches were taken but not sure how much busier the camping field might get during the season.
The owners were very helpful. Regular chemical disposal is for 'organic' chemicals only but there was a temporary facility for our old less environmentally friendly blue concoction.
We had one 13 year old with us but anyone with younger children may find there isn't a vast amount of space to play around in. It is perfectly child friendly however.
The £17.50 charged here was the most we paid during our week in Scotland but it was still good value.

Great site! Visited with boyfriend and his 2yr old daughter. Friendly owners, well maintained site. Close by to ferry terminal. Site not busy as end of April and showering services ideal for our needs, although shower block cold after showering!
Spent time in Tobermory and along the shore line mussel collecting! Only spent 1 night, in hindsight, should have stayed for longer!
Would visit again and recommend to others!

On our arrival we were greeted by Cynthia, very friendly and helpful, whilst booking in her husband was assisting mine in selecting a suitable pitch for our van. We were made to feel like we were visiting family rather than a campsite.
The inital site feels like you are stopping in a large back garden, well kept and tidy, deceiving due to the fact that through another gate the site goes on into a more natural setting of woodland and nice bluebell walks. The shower was set a temperature that could not be adjusted but it was perfect. The washing up area was clean and even had washing-up liquid to hand.
This site is ideally located not too far away from the ferry and local spar shop, once sited you are able to visit the surrounding areas, whale watching in Tobermory or visit a castle, watch eagles, plenty to see and do but be prepared to do a bit of driving.
Would stay here again if visiting the Isle of Mull, however, beware, the midges are out in force.
Lovely little campsite, lovely couple who run it.

I came here first - on my own - with a little tent and by car staying the five days on Mull Island. I stayed here for four days, enjoying my stay from the very first hour to the last. I had a very warm and friendly welcome on the site with perfect explanations for everything. Though facilities are not huge they are always very decent and perfectly clean with fresh towels all the time. The little restaurant on the entry has tasteful good meals after a day of walking or touring the island. Next village is Salen with adequate shopping facilities. Loch Spelve and Loch Uisg are a must - besides Iona of course. Also the North of Mull Island is a photographer's paradise. - Thus I loved my stay; and the many thousands midges cannot beat the friendliness of the warm keepers of this camp site! I'd like to be here again indeed!

A great little site just a mile or so from where the Lochaline ferry drops you on Mull. They've installed three midge zappers but the odd one or two million still manage to get by. But then if you don't like Midgies go to Bognor Regis for your holiday. The single uni-sex shower was a little inconvenient and a queue did develop, but a considerate sign tells us that if more than three are waiting we can speak to Cynthia. I'm not quite sure what Cynthia does about it, but it's a nice gesture. The shower block has one toilet but the two WCs outside the cafe is always available. Access is a little tight for a larger motor-home but easily manageable with care. The hard-standings are more or less level but you may need levellers on one or two pitches. A cafe on site seemed popular and although we didn't try it, we heard the food was very good. We'll use this site again next time on Mull.

Lovely couple, shy dog. Cynthias Tea room does excellent food, even our kids emptied their plates. Owner likes to keep his grass green but this is acceptable as the park looks pristeen in all areas. Limited facilities, only one, unisex shower (free). We had a visit from the midges, 1000s of them. Well sheltered and some hard-standing available, just of the main road but traffic noise was muted by the trees. Mull has very few campsites, this is probably as good as it gets from what we saw of the others. Would we stay there again? Yes, if we ever return to Mull.
