We stayed two nights in May 2021, we were due to stay five but due to a ferry cancellation from Penzance we could only stay for two.
Arrival is rather different from anything we've had before - the owners meet the small ferry (you have to transfer at St Marys to a smaller boat), and all your gear is taken to the site by tractor, whilst you walk.
The site is in a lovely location on the island, with nice grass pitches and hedges to shelter from any Atlantic winds. There are good washing facilities and hand sanitisers, etc. There is a small room where you can charge your phones and some camping essentials for sale (including meths, if you use that for cooking). There are no vehicles allowed on site (other than the tractor), which makes a nice change - there aren't that many at all on the island.
Be aware that there aren't too many places on the island to have dinner, so it will be worth booking. The curry night at Polreath Tea room (Mondays only) is recommended.
The island is lovely, with really good walking and generally very quiet, though there are more people there during the day time as there are day trips from St Mary's.
Ben and Caroline who run the campsite are lovely and helpful. Keep an eye out for the variety of flags on the flagpole.
When leaving, be aware of which harbour the boat will be going from - this changes according to the tides. Neither harbour is very far from the site, but you would miss the boat if you went to the wrong one.
All in all, this is a lovely site, and quite a different place to visit. We would love to go back.

St Martin's campsite is an excellent place to get away from it all. It is in a very quiet location, well managed, and adjacent to a beautiful beach. There is a pub serving good food within easy walking distance, and a good shop/post office about a mile away, along with a bakery. The toilet block is well looked after, though I guess it might be a bit busy at the height of summer. The pitches are well sheltered by tall hedges, and seemed well drained. The owners were most helpful, and there were washing machines, dryers,2 freezers for ice packs, and mobile phone charging points and even a collection of paperbacks in case you run out.
