We have stayed at least once at every holiday park in the South West. This site is one of the best we've had.

Ideal location between Polperro/Looe, relatively flat site to get around. Lovely approach down delightful wooded country lane, with welcoming and informative greeting at the impressive Manor house reception.

Children's well equipped playpark opposite reception. Dog friendly with large grassed area under trees, with poop bins to left. And a fenced off utility doggy fun space in right.

Parking was on slight incline right next to the caravan and right behind the large welcoming well stocked shop. On site Launderette near the shop. Disabled bays plentiful in front of shop. Both a warm indoor and outdoor pools and beautiful lake nearby, plus all the usual entertainments, games room etc.

All nicely wrapped around the gorgeous Manor house itself. Theres plenty of fun things for both adult and children of all ages.

Caravan 52 was very clean, spacious, well equipped, with decent shower room plus loo, with an ensuite off the main 5ft bed. Room. An excellent body conforming mattress (AND a mattress cover) I might add. We paid small fee to have beds made up for us. Twin room next to the main bedroom.

Excellent kitchen area with bonus of mini dishwasher machine. Loved that and the L shaped lounge. Modern flat screen TV with DVD at back and radio. Lots of storage throughout the caravan.

Although went to Trelawyne for the week on a Sun holiday promotion, (inc upgrade £119 ) would happily pay more and would most definitely use this site again.

Due to being unable to get to Spain recently, we booked a last minute week away through Hoeseasons at Trelawne. We booked a Poppy Silver caravan which had the welcome addition of a dvd player. Some caravans have double glazing and central heating. Ours didn't but did have a very good fire in the living room and an additional electric heater which was well needed. We slept fine! There was plenty of hot and I mean hot water and the fitted kitchen was very nice and filled with all the essential and not so essential bits and bobs. The living room was comfortable and cosy.

Downsides - curtains poor quality and thin, the carpet was pretty badly stained but I suppose it is understandable given the amount of use it gets. The bedding had rust coloured marks on it (we took a sleeping bag as I have issues with stange beds etc so I didn't notice until the day we left) and there were a few dead flies on windowseals. Also the sky light in the kitchen was filthy and full of dead things. On the plus side there was no usual smell or feeling of damp. It was certainly better than other caravans I have stayed in.

The site is great for kids of all ages and adults alike. Heated indoor pool which we never tried but seemed popular, kids and adults entertainment of a night including singers, comedians and bingo. 2 good bars - one in the main venue and a smaller quieter one with free wifi. There was food available to eat in or take away and was very nice at that although they provide only plastic plates and knives and forks to eat in on. There is an arcade room, pool room and general games room with plenty of things for kids to do. There is also a cyber cafe area and chapel should you wish to use it.

The on site shop stocks a variety of useful items and is reasonably priced.

Outside there are tennis courts, crazy golf, table tennis table and a football/basket ball area.

There is also loads to do in the surrounding area - Polperro, Looe, Monkey Sanctuary, St Austell are all good. Also the weather was fab which helped!

In all I was very impressed with the site and caravan. I would definitely go back again and I admit I am a bit of a snob when it comes to cleanliness.

I think I would book through John Fowler direct in the future though.
