First timers to a site with a our new Motor Home. Stayed for two nights. No problem booking, very friendly management,
Had a choice of Motor home pitches, which are all the same, electric hook up at rear, with individual water taps and a drain for the waste water.
Site nice size, easily navigated, immaculate condition, Shower and toilet facilities also immaculate. Chemical toilet disposal, Laundry Room, children's play area, Site is nice and quiet.
Easy walking distance to Newcastle town. Large garage with very large shop for supplies just round the corner about 10 minutes walk,
No down side to this site, I hope all our future bookings to sites turn out like this one. We will be back.
Giving it all the stars in all the areas

Touring pitches are located at the back of the site, with the majority of the site being dedicated to static units.
There are about 20 or so pitches (hard standing) located in the touring area and each overlooks a small green. The touring site is very well maintained and there is a nice little playpark to keep the kids entertained.
The pitches are hard standing and level but there is no room for awnings, and a number of the pitches are quite close together with just enough room for a car between units.
The pitch we were on was a low amp rating (7 amp I believe) and our electric tripped a couple of times when we tried to run electric space heater and water heater at same time. However, this was overcome by adjusting the heater settings a rotating appliance usage.
I'm pleased to say that the shower facilities are free (which more sites of this kind should consider) and are regularly cleaned.
In terms of location the site is within easy walking distance of the town centre and promenade, and is 5 mins walk to a local fuel station that is also well stocked with groceries and other essential supplies (including beer and wine).
Site is within 10/15 mins drive of the Mountains of Mourne, which are home to must visit tourist destinations such as Tollymore Forest Park and Silent Valley
All said I must say that Woodcroft is a very well run and maintained site. I would most certainly recommend as a location for a short break.
A longer stay would, in my opinion, benefit from awning space and perhaps slightly uprated AMP.
