Static only site but following a 2012 washout in our folding camper, decided to err on the side of caution.
Stayed in a 3 bed unit, 4 adults and 2 children, 7 and 2. Very nice clean van with no signs of wear and tear. Impressed! The site is accessed by a very narrow road but didn't have many problems given the time of year. Facilities on site are small for a Parkdean site but this is a relatively small site. Easy walking distance down to the fabulous Crantock beach is the major selling point of this site and I imagine would be brilliant in good weather. That said, we managed shorts and t-shirts n the beach in mid October!
Food is the average price and quality, no complaints to be honest. Amusements and entertainment are small and reasonably quiet from our van which was quite close to the facilities. Shame there isn't a small swimming pool but that wouldn't matter in summer given the close proximity to the sea :)
For a static break around Newquay we would use this site again!

Stayed in a three bed unit, with a view of the beach / sea / sunset. Very clean and all you need for a one or two week stay. Quite, clean site with very friendly and helpful staff. We were handed a massive stack of leaflets for various attractions.
We were visited by three ducks most mornings - kids loved feeding them, and the hoards of seagulls who descended when bread thrown -
The 6 and 10 year old loved the playground and the 'pitch and put' (£1.50 deposit) although a little too far away and out of sight of our unit to let them go alone ??
10 mins stroll (downhill) to the beautiful beach, or Crantock village. We soon got used to the uphill stroll back !
You could park the car and stay in and around the site as everything there - shop (I thought reasonably priced and lots of variety), cafe (eg. £3.95 for breakfast/Pizza takeaway), pub (we didn't try, yet seemed a few in there when we passed by).
We choose to venture out and about and site is nicely located for day trips to Eden Project (check free child entry after 4.30 on Wednesday- I think), Lands End (arrived early evening, so didn't get side tracked by the 'shops'- yet still got the 'photos'), St Michaels Mount(NT property - pay for boat there and back £1.50 each way adult/£1 child - ask for the quiz as my kids were so happy to receive the 'medal' at the end) and a short jaunt to Newquay with all it has to offer (Including a Lidl and Morrisons that opens at 8am)
On one very wet day we went to the 'Oasis pool' (towards Newquay) which has a few slides and was very quite (although cost £19 for two adult/2 kids) it was well worth it. There is also Waterworld which was recommended, but that was closed until 3.30 that day (Thursday)
Although sunny and warm, it remained quite windy (being up on a hill- I suppose!) so we couldn't sit out as much as we would have liked in the evening to drink in the evening sunset and view.
Ate at the 'Smugglers Den - excellent place and about 10 mins drive away - and we 'chanced upon it'
All in all highly recommended if you want a quite, very clean, friendly place to stay which is excellently located for a beach or day trips out and about. Would be our first choice again.

My family and I just got back from a two week break at crantock holiday park. I must say it was better then it looks on the web. You get a sea view, the beach is a 5 min walk down from the site and if you don't feel like walking there is a car park at the beach which is £4, (i think) for all day. I have been to cornwall 4-5 times now and I'm really surprised I have never seen this great looking beach. There is loads of space and a gannel which comes in and out with the tide, and wow what a picture. Back to the site, there is a small shop which is ok next to a small arcade. There is a club house that has light entertainment, but if your like us, a game of cards and a load of 2p's with a beer or two with family or friend's is priceless. There is a laundrette with very good facilities and recycling facilities, the whole park was a lovely place in general.
Another point, Using your cards in the shop on site average is a min of 10.00, and cash machines, unless its a bank tend to charge, including the machine on site.
Did I mention the beach was fab! It had several caverns in the side of the cliffs waiting to be explored. If you do explore, invest in a pair of wetsuit shoes / boots because you will need them! The sea is great, good waves for body boarding / surfing.
I also must say for you snorkel lovers 30 min drive to st ives, not only has a calm clear sea but is a great looking place.
Back to crantock, the caravan I stayed in, no:35 was great for us (4 people). Loads of space and good facilities. If your thinking of going to cornwall, this place is nice and recommendable.
Other note, if you go shopping don't go to morrisons it's incredibly busy, always packed with people. Behind morrisons is a cheap and less busy store called lindl, good food, good prices for holidays with a budget. Keep it in mind. Overall if I was to rate this place I would give it an 9 / 10
Based on all I have said the beach / caravan / facilities.I hope this answer's anyone who is thinking of going,i would go back there again when I get the chance.
Top notch place!

Stayed for a week during July 06. Our van overlooked Crantock beach giving us a fantastic view of the sunset every night. Site is not too noisy and there is plenty for both adults & kids to do.Thoroughly recommended would defo go there again. The beach is within walking distance as is the village of Crantock.

Stayed at Crantock Beach Holiday Park on 22 July which was peak season. Caravan was great, well maintained spacious (12ft x 28ft) and clean. The park was excellent, again well looked after, clean and staff very friendly. There is a takeaway, bar, shop, laundrette and amusements on site. The reception had local tourist information and a cash machine. Even though it was peak season and most caravans were occupied the park remained quiet. The walk down to the lovely beach is 5/10 mins and there is a crazy golf and childrens play area. You can also walk down to the village of Crantock which has a shop, tea rooms and a couple of pubs. We had no complaints at all and have already booked to go back next year!

June 2005 Stayed here in a caravan for the Whitsun week instead of camping as planned as I felt the weather too chilly for the kids. Chose the site as it looked to be one of the quietest holiday parks around and were really pleased - it was really peaceful. Great location with views to Crantock Beach and a 15 minute walk down to beach.
There is a bar and takeaway which we didnt use and a well stocked shop and launderette. The adventure playground and crazy golf course kept my 10 year olds happy along with a field with goals for football. Whole site very clean and looked well cared for. Great for a quiet no frills place, only 10 mins from Newquay and a good base to visit all the nearby beaches. Would definitely return.
