NOT a good trip, caravan wise - waterlogged field, run down, smelly, mildewy toilet block shared with the stable hands (main reason it was smelly); no loo paper or soap, we had to take in our own; a shower that flooded everywhere . But at least the electric hookup worked.
We were there 3 nights and began to wonder if we'd get off the field.
Surrounding area is OK - good pubs in West Kirby :)
Managed a trip through the Mersey Tunnel over to Crosby to see Antony Gormley's 'Another Place' which was the main reason for the visit.

My partner and I are new to caravanning and this was the first CL we have been to. We went for the May Day Bank holiday weekend with friends who are experienced caravanners! Upon arrival we were in the Rally Field where there was electric hookup, toilets and showers. The field had recently been cut and there were pitches for about 10 units. The toilets/showers are ok but could do with a freshen up. The site is in an excellent position. It is literally 300yards from the promenade. There is a small farm shop which sells fresh eggs, chocolate, snacks plus a range of second hand caravan equipment. There is also a stock of horse tack as there are stables on site. A very enjoyable weekend was had by all and we would go again.

Good position - nice & quite near to beach. 5 pitches on CL & 5 next to it. Shop on site well stocked. Both sites shared toilet block & showers which needed a good clean, also grass needed cutting. Price ok with elec hookup think about £7 May go again if site cleaned up.
