What a lovely site, gorgeous Pond with wildfowl and caravan all around it. It was a wet weekend but could see the potential for a lovely Summer holiday.

No hard standings and is not open in the winter, however, this would spoil the look and feel of the place, so best as it is.

The nearby town of Easingwold is a lovely place and access to York by car is easy.

There’s no village pub to walk to but an easy cycle ride to Alne on a quiet lane would be achievable where there is a pub.

Shower and Toilet facilities are fine.

What a fantastic reception we had.

I don't think we've had such a helpful experience with site owners in all the time that we have travelled in the UK and what a peaceful setting.

Thanks so much.

We would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this site for 1 night only as a stopover visiting family in the area.

Lovely quiet site with a duck pond and lots of wildlife.

We paid £18 including EHU which we thought was good value. It's at the end of a long drive so there wasn't any road noise just an occasional train passing by.

Would stay again when in the area.

Just got back after a long weekend break, this site is a little gem, spotlessly clean, and in a wonderful setting all the caravans are set around the two fishing lakes, which for myself was heaven, fishing rod in one hand and either a cup or tea, or a can of beer in the other hand, depending on the time of day, only a small site so only one toilet each for male and female guests but also on site is a very large shower room, 50p gets you plenty of hot water and enough time to have a good shower, there is a railway that runs about 500 Mtrs behind the campsite but it's not to intrusive and you soon get used to it. I cannot wait to visit again soon and would recommend this site to any of the U. K. Campsite users

Very nice site, we stayed 3 nights and found it very peaceful sited right beside the fishing pond.

My husband could sit outside the caravan and fish to his hearts content. The toilet block consists of just one shower (charge of 50p) and 2 toilets (1 for each sex)so I presume people use their own facilities in their caravan.

It's a couple of miles to Easingwold to the shops but plenty to chose from and it seemed a nice place to wander round, I got a local map from the Tourist Information which was a big help.

There are trains going by quite regularly but it's not too intrusive a noise and you soon get used to them.

I would recommend this site to most people but there is not much for children to do except fish (under adult supervision).

Just spent 3 nights at this site, just absolutely perfectly for what we like to do. Large pitches both hard standing and grass. We were pitched right next to the lake.

There is a lovely clean toilet block but it is rather small with only 1 female and 1 male toilet and 1 communal shower, but having said that we usually use the van anyway, so this did not bother me.

Extremely cheap to stay £10. 00 per night and £2. 00 to fish, My husband caught some really nice fish, Carp, perch, tench and rudd.

There is a railway line that runs about 500 yards away, but once you get accustomed to it you really do not notice it, although the first train is about 6. 30am and last train about 11. 00pm.

Possibly not really suitable for children due to the 2 lakes and there is no play area, but still a beautiful site and well worth a visit.

What a lovely little site, staff very friendly and helpful. Very secure and cheap!Good for walkers!

The toilet block is small, but well looked after.

Theres a fishing lake in the centre of the site with a little foot bridge over.

Downside there's no pubs nearby, but if you are a train spotter there's a 10 minute walk to the tracks!
