Having looked at the website, I thought this site would be of a high quality. It was not to be. We were put on a pitch well out of the way. I asked if we could be nearer to the amenities and was told no. It was 3/10ths of a mile to the toilet block. There was no soap or anything to dry hands on. There is no shop. The pitch was serviced by two electric hook up and one tap for the whole field. There is no waste disposal and no rubbish bins. The site is being developed for wooden lodges The staff were sullen and unhelpful.

Easter week-end was my 7th visit to Pentney Lakes, yes there are hundreds of campsites in the UK but to me and my family Pentney is worth a visit. The site has excellent walks overlooking both the fishing and Jet-Ski lakes, it has five fishing lakes which over the years we have had some good catches In the past year a woodland area has been opened up for tents and caravans which is perfect, new toilets and showers are to be built within the area soon but until then there is a 200 yard walk to the shower blocks etc, all which are very clean. The site has a Cafe with licence bar on site, however if your like us cooking is one of the fun parts of camping so make sure you go stocked up with food and gas etc as the nearest town being Kings Lynn is 20 min drive away but overall the site is quiet, peaceful and certainly worth visiting. Ideal site for families as there is a large play area for the children and for those who want to get away from it all, Not suitable for teenagers who like to party, wait until you have settled and then bring your own family!

First site after returning to camping, good showers etc., good pitch, but A47 a little noisy nearby. everything clean and well kept, if a little dated in places. Not many local facilities nearby, but shop has enough to keep you going. We would go again, but in a caravan this time.

A very friendly, quiet site. Facilities not bad but if you are on the non electric part it a bit of a trek to the showers, which were piping hot and clean. site would benefit from a shop, where supplies could be bought.
The boys enjoyed a days fishing for a small fee,tho not a lot was caught!, except a lit peace and quiet for mum... would use this site again, but would aim to get a pitch with hook up just to be a bit nearer to the facilties.
