Stayed for a couple of nights with my Sister, Brother and various sons/nieces/nephews. Owners were very friendly and the site was ideal for tents i.E. Flat and well kept. Ideal location for Purbeck's numerous attractions (Wareham good for riverside pub / Somerfield / a public swimming pool that no-one seems to know is there). However, at the time of visit, the showers / toilets were not in the best condition and in dire need of a good scrub or even replacement. As with a large number of sites, there are pros and cons - judge for yourselves. If you fancy a good Sunday lunch, book early at the Greyhound, Winterborne Kingston. Worth a 20 minute drive.

Although the main site was full, the owner found room for us in the middle of the static sitewhere there are 4 pitches with hook-up. Very peaceful location and had the use of the toilet/shower facilities almost to ourselves. The toilet block was old fashioned but extremely clean with unlimited hot water. Would certainly visit again but not end July/August as the whole of the area was very busy.

Very good site, peaceful, quiet and in a very good location, right on the A35. It has all the facilities you could expect without the commercial aspect of a club. Clean showers, electric, washing up & laundry facilities. Lots of Drinking water points. Decent amount of pitches, all flat, nice drive up past the Manor & Statics. Owner very friendly & helpful and always approachable. Would say that its more of an adults site as so peaceful & quiet but lots of space for Children to play should they not want the commercial aspect. Prices very very reasonable for the time of year with a £1.50 surplus charge per night in High Season. Its worth visiting for the location alone as is easy access to Poole / Bournmouth / Swanage / Weymouth etc.

It was a really good campsite and very well laid out. They were very relaxed and when we overheated and broke down they were very understanding. We are a family of 7 in 2 tents and the alloted pitch sizes are excellent. The showers and toliets were clean and not crowded. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.we hope to go back next year. IF THE CAR MAKES IT.

This is a really well looked after site. We had a great week there end of June. The weather always seems better in the Purbeck area anyway! The caravan park is as good (and cheaper)if not better than any caravan club site, we paid £10 per night (2 adults, hook-up and awning) great value. Most of the pitches are set in hedged enclosures, which take about 10 units in each. The owner is very friendly and helpful and keeps the facilities in first class condition, very clean showers, etc. We will definitely make a return visit

May 2003 We had a great Bank Holiday weekend here last year. There is nothing fancy about this site, just everything you need for a quiet camping trip, the pitches are flat, the facilities are clean and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we haven't been able to get back there again but it is a site we have added to our favourites it is perfectly positioned for Poole, Bournemouth, Wareham and Swanage. Can't wait to go back.

4 - 5 June 2004 New to camping we were lucky enough to find this camp on this web site. Surounded by farmland and some lovely old trees the site is peaceful and intimate, an old manor with a large lawn in front for the children to play on is situated far enough away not to annoy everyone but close enough to keep an eye on the kids, (tree swing also there). There is a long wooded drive to the pitches so it it a safe haven from the outside world but with quick access to the A35. You can be in Poole in 10-15 mins. The host is friendly and helpful. Showers etc good. Only thing could do with another wash up area as it can get busy with just one.
