A good spacious site with easy access. Follow the CAMC directions and look out for the flag, turn on the right.
A good welcome. Easy to get to Penrith, go back down 1 motorway junction to get to Morrisons, rather than driving through Penrith.
Easy to get to the northern lakes.
We would happily use it again as a stopover.

Having stayed here a few times, it’s a perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle!
The site is beautiful with wildflower beds. Beautiful walks and scenery and a local pub within walking distance.
The owners are friendly and helpful and even sell fresh free range eggs!
Definitely worth a visit!

Great site. Level field with views onto other fields. Plenty of space as the owners opened up their adjoining field. Bring extra electric cables for better choice of pitches.
Penrith is a lovely little market town. Site close to northern lakes, Carlisle and Scotland. Easy access from M6. We were using this site as a stop over and ended up staying 4 nights. Had snow one night that was unexpected. Will be returning in May. The eggs from the free range hens were out of this world!

Have stayed on this site many times over the past few years, nice level grass pitch, plenty of room and close to the M6. Owners Ian and Annette are very nice. We love staying here, especially if you get nice weather, peaceful and relaxing. We have a list of favourite CL sites and this one is in the top 3.
Close enough to Penrith, Keswick etc and the northern lakes which are so much nicer than the southern lakes. We have also used this as a overnight stop off point on our way to Scotland. Top CL site!
Hence the 100% 10 out of 10 scores.

Exact instructions got us there with no problems. Met with the owner's son who showed us where the toilet and waste and drinking water was (lots of bins make recycling very easy) Perfectly flat site with plenty of room on pitches. Ideally situated for visiting Lake District and Scottish Borders. Even though it is situated fairly near the M6 the only noise we heard was from the crows, even the hens were quiet! At only £9 per night including electricity, we will certainly be back. Only thing I would add is perhaps a mirror could be installed at exit from site.

Stayed on this site Tue Wed Thu 21/22/23, March nice site level dry pitches very quiet which we like very good price £8 including electric and had a toilet on site attached to the owners prop. First class clean and bright painted clean white and had a table with reading material and a book shelf to borrow reading novels so very good. 3 pubs nearby which serve food if wanted. Penrith only 5 miles Morrison's supermarket in town. 4 miles to Ullswater lake 15 miles to Keswick. All in all a site we will be going again to as ideally located just off the motorway m6 junction 41, also as the eggs we bought were like the old fashioned eggs we used to have fab.

This site is good for people that enjoy the peace and quite. There isnt much of a view but there is quite a few places to go for nice walks.
The exit and entrance is very tight to get in and out and the ground is very boggy, wouldn't recommend this place during the winter season as you may get stuck getting in and out the site.
The toilets are located near the house, has cracks in the door but is well maintained.
They sell fresh eggs, and there are plenty of animals and wild life around if your in to that kind of thing.

If its peace and quiet you want and a relaxing time this is an ideal site. We stayed a couple of days on way back from Scotland.
The site is only a 10 mins drive from m6. There is no shower but there is a basic toilet which was fine.
Good price at 7. 50 inc. Electric. Site is ideal for visiting the lakes or Keswick.
Would stay here again if on way to Scotland. One thing too mention the entrance is a bit narrow. We had just changed our van to a twin axle and thought I may not get in but with a bit of help from the wife we made it on to pitch.
