Just returned from a lovely weekend here. The owners Jenny and Tom were so accommodating, kind and friendly. They come to the campsite once daily to check on you and take fees. The notice board said they prefer no calls to the house unless it’s an emergency which is fair enough.
This is a working farm in a beautiful setting, so quiet at night and with clear skies you can star gaze! Gorgeous views surround you and you can watch the cows grazing in the sloping field and sheep and lambs from your van.
The farm and camp site is immaculate. You can buy their produce locally. Also liked the fact that they make children welcome but don’t allow the ball games in the camp area, kids can run freely and play games in the main field.
The site is mostly seasonal pitches and I can see why. There only seemed to be a couple of touring pitches so you’re lucky if you get booked here.
There are static caravans to rent too. As a result the facilities are basic, the only “negative” is that there wasn’t a washing up point so you have to do all your washing up in the caravan.
Shower and toilet clean, lovely hot water. All facilities clean and organised, information boards visible will tell you everything you need to know.
Gates and barriers set up so you can’t wander anywhere you shouldn’t on a busy working farm! Eggs available to buy fresh. So much to do in the area. Hard standing with grass pitches, my favourite! Level pitches too.
Very reasonable fees. Would definitely return and recommend Gallaber if you want a lovely peaceful break.

Marvelous location for touring North Yorkshire. Well organised site with clearly laid out recycling bins, clean toilets and shower.
Nearby field for ball games plus children's swings. Jenny (owner)was very pleasant and helpful when booking. Some of the surrounding roads are tight with a caravan so plan your route.
We approached from M6 Junc 34 which was straightforward but coming from A65 would be particularly tricky. We visited White Scar Caves and Dent Heritage Centre and would recommend both.
Enjoyable stay and will revisit.

We have stayed here a few times over the past 10 years. It’s a nice quiet family run site with very friendly owners.
They even let us watch them do the sheep dipping last year. There’s a nice walk through the field to the local pub. And a walk to the local park.
You can do the Greta woods walk which is a couple of miles. There’s a large field where you can fly a kite or play football provided the sheep are not around. You can watch the cows in the field.
Facilities have always been clean and presentable.
Will be back for definite.

Peaceful, restful campsite. Lovely pitch overlooking farmland.
Communications were excellent booking site and on arrival.
£20 PER NIGHT. Good value.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for rural idyllic landscape. Villages close by are beautiful. We came for fishing in nearby Caton.
We will definitely return.

Wasn't too sure when we first arrived, weather was cold and very wet, but once the rain stopped and we could see all around us it was amazing. The views were to die for. Met with Jenny and what a lovely lady so welcoming.
My son and 2 grandaughters joined us for 1 day/ night and they felt so relaxed and happy.
We found lovely walks but unfortunately we really needed a car to get to some places which we missed out on.
Very basic toilet, shower block, but all worked and did the job. Very friendly family working farm.
We will be back.
