As per the other reviews, a beautiful, quiet site in a lovely location. Everything was kept clean and tidy. The owners were friendly and helpful.
The site has all the basic facilities you expect at a CL, water, electric hook-up, grey water and elsan disposal, waste and recycling bins.
The only disappointment we found was the lack of somewhere to let our dog run off lead, but it's something we can manage.
The lovely market town of Easingwold is only 3 miles away and well worth exploring.
Millfield Park is a great place to exercise your dog, if you have one (or more).

What a lovely paddock area. Short mowed grass, very tidy farm. 5 cl. Up a long drive away from any roads quit site.
Greeted by a lovely lady paid on arrival. Ehu and tap by numbers but can pitch pretty much anywhere as long as you cable.
Chem waste in corner of next field. Able to walk the dog in adjacent fields. 10 minutes walk to village.
Up and away early next morning but lucky to see Deer in next field.
Used as a stop over to and from Scotland. Excellent.

Sandhill Farm CL is perhaps one of North Yorkshire's best kept secrets. It's a stunning little site overlooking the Vale of York. It is situated on a very quiet farm, about 1/4 mile off the road which is only a minor road, so peace and quiet is guaranteed. The farm is one of the tidiest, most well kept farms you'll find. The grass is always well mown too.
As for facilities, it's a basic CL; just mains electrics, water taps, an elsan point and recycling facilities, but this is reflected in the price. It's a perfect getaway in a beautiful setting.
The nearest town is Easingwold, which is three miles away but the village of Husthwhaite is within walking distance and has a very small local shop. The site is easy to reach from the A19 and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the York Ringroad where you'll find Monks Cross Shopping Park and the Park and Ride for the centre of York. The site is in the heart of the North Yorkshire Dales, so there's plenty of walks from the gate of the site and the famous White Horse at Kilburn is just a 15 minute drive away. There's a good walk onto the ridge in Husthwhaite where you'll find the local beacon and an Alpacca farm along the way. There was recently a pub in Husthwhaite but it's currently closed as the ownership changes. The next nearest one is on the way to Coxwold which is a very short drive but perhaps just a bit too far to walk to.
All in all, a beautiful well kept and peaceful site that forms the perfect base for exploring North Yorkshire.
