A wonderful peaceful campsite - we were welcomed by the owner who was very friendly.
There is a toilet and wash basin in a converted shed - very clean and comfortable.
Amazing value - currently £8 a night (for the caravan, awning and dog!).
Would definitely like to visit again.

This is a top section of a field, with a tap for drinking water and a Waste tank but this is all you need to enjoy a peaceful holiday, basic but nice in the small village Roston.
The owners are very friendly It's about 10 minutes drive from Alton Towers, There is a pub in walking distance about 5mins, shops and garage in the next village Rocester 5mins in car, dogs welcome,
it cost £5 a night for caravan 2 adults I had 6 adults & awning and only charge me £10 a night you cant get any better,
All right in the country side will be going back.

I wanted a quiet campsite after the crowds at Alton Towers and that it exactly what I got.
This campsite was perfect for us, just a field in the middle of nowhere with a few basic essential services: bins, drinking water and a toilet. £5 for a tent a night.
It's a hidden gem, a 10 min drive from Alton Towers, not exactly easy to find, but we managed it with printed out route directions and a road atlas.
The owners were lovely and I'd recommend this site to people who are looking for quiet, basic camping - no playgrounds, swimming pools or bars here.

Although really pretty basic, if you're in the mood to hardcore camp, come here! It is just a squared off section of a field, with a tap for drinking water and a toilet about 5 minutes walk away. The cows are just over the lane and can be slightly scary in the dark, but you do feel quite safe in the small village. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and the price reflects the facilities - £4 per tent. It's about 10 minutes drive from Alton Towers, mostly signposted, although the campsite itself is pretty hard to find unless you have a TomTom or other satnav. There is a pub in the next village although its not overly impressive. But still very friendly and welcoming. If you are prepared and wrapped up, then its fun!
