My husband and I have just enjoyed a three night stay at Bank Farm while visiting nearby Bangor-on- Dee races.
There is easy access onto the site from the main road which takes you onto a small grassy field which is on a slight incline. The site is basic, but does have ample hook-ups and water points and the grass is mown. There is a small shed that has a toilet and sink (no shower) but both are clean and functional. There is no lighting on the site.
We used ‘Freeview’ via an aerial and most of the time the signal was good; mobile phone (O2) was fine.
Bangor-on-Dee is a pleasant 10 -15 minute walk from the site along a footpath and its worth taking a torch for part of the walk where there is no street lighting if going out in the evening. Bangor is a quiet little place, there is a Post Office (does the lottery), small shop/off licence, church and lovely pub by the river – The Royal Oak. There is a Co-op with cash point about a mile and half outside Bangor at Cross Lanes.
We ate in the pub on two occasions, one evening meal and Sunday lunch. On both occasions we were made very welcome and the food was excellent. Food is served all day every day until around 9. 45.
From the pub there is a foot path along the river that takes you most way to Bangor racecourse before continuing along the road, taking about 15 mins to walk.
All in all this is a lovely, no frills site and the owner was very pleasant and helpful and for £12 per night makes great location if visiting the area!

What a lovely site, we stayed for 4 nights with friends who were in a tent, its in a beautiful setting with views over the country side just outside of Bangor on Dee which you can walk into and it takes just 15 units
Just one thing its off a busy road but in all honesty the traffic noise is not that much of a problem
The toilet and wash basin were in a garden shed - no shower, the door locked so you could get a wash in private
The owner came in every day to clean the shed facilities and recycle the rubbish and have a friendly chat
We will definitely be back for another long weekend

We really enjoyed our stay here, the owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The site was very clean and the owners obviously take care of it. It is quite closeto a fairly busy road but we didn’t have any problem sleeping. The toilets are in ashed which makes you think they will be dirty but they were clean and serviceable, the owner also left toilet paper, soap and clean hand towel in them each day whichwas a nice touch. The only problem was the lack of a shower which is a necessity when camping.

June2004 Bank farm is the sort of site you go to for peace and quiet, there is nothing there apart from approx. 18 caravans and one toilet shed (very clean.) We chose this site for the getaway from it all factor and it worked. The owners were pleasant and I would reccommend this site to all. We took 5 kids, 2 dogs and 3 cats and we all went on some cracking walks. Dave
