Barlows caravan park is a lovely campsite in the countryside, through the village of caerwys flintshire, with outstanding views.
The new showers and toilets are state of the art and are a credit to the owners
There is a shop on site fully stocked and helpful staff,
With just a short drive or walk into the village of caerwys 1 mile, and not far from the coast.
You will not be disappointed when you stay here

The only plus I can give the site is some of the people on the seasonal pitches. The site is basically a field. If you are on seasonal you are boxed in like sardines, the touring pitches. 5 of them are sufficient. The shop is a bit of a hike away from the 5 pitches, no good for wheelchairs to get to due to the state of the road. The toilet facilities. I wouldn't let my dog use them. The upright jambs in the showers are rusted through and the doors cant close as they swing loosely from the top mount. If you catch a foot on the rust it`ll be time for a tetanus. The floor is only lino and becomes like an ice rink when you descend the 13 inches down from the showers base to floor level. My missus had the misfortune to slip and badly hurt her hip and thigh on impact with the bench which is close to the step down. She is currently seeking advice on the issue. The toilets were serviceable but one morning my missus was informed that hand sanitation wouldn't be refilled. There is no hot water in the sinks. And no heating in anything. Its minging basically and unfit for purpose. The owner drives around the site in her fiesta and scrutinises everything you do. And criticizes. You don't get to feel you are on holiday. As for something constructive, , don't go there.

Lovely family run site just off the A55. Large field for camping. No restrictions on space, you can please yourself. £5 a night without electric. Hook up available for tents and caravans. Lovely views. Park for kids. Shop on site. Barn for bingo and a 'turn' on Saturday's. I've read reviews on here saying there isn't any laundry facilities, there are! it's next to the shop. There is also a sink to wash dishes at the end of the toilet/shower block, not huge but adequate. The showers/toilets most definitely need updating but are cleaned regularly and are also adequate. I think this is reflected in the prices. You do not get 5* luxury for £5-10 per night! 100% worth a visit. I love it there. Village 5 mins away with a larger shop a cafe and 2 or 3 pubs. Lovely golf club where you can play a round get a bite to eat and have a drink. The owner becki is lovely. All in all Brill!

This was my first time camping and I loved it. The park is an hour away from where I live and so easy to find. It only cost me ten pound as I stayed for two nights with a large group of friends.
The shop is pretty much what you first see when entering the site, and then the gorgeous static caravans. We paid in the shop and they were really friendly.
We were staying tents so we were in the top field. The views were amazing, if it is a clear day you can see everything. There was plenty of space considering it was a bank holiday weekend so as we were a large group we didn't have to worry too much about the noise we were making.
There is a fair sized playground on the field for kids so you don't have to worry about them being out of sight.
There was entertainment on in the barn at night so we didn't have to leave the campsite, and there was a brilliant sports day for both children and adults which was a lot of fun.
There is a Tesco only ten minutes away in Holyhead for any essentials you might need.
The only thing about the camp was the toilets and showers. Although they were cleaned throughout the day, they still need have a thorough clean and be updated. The showers were lovely and hot but the floor gets so slippery it could be very dangerous. I nearly fell twice, I was wearing flipflops the first time but had taken them off the second time just in case but slipped anyway.
Apart from this I really enjoyed my weekend here. The staff and other campers were friendly and kept to themselves. We did get others to join us though when playing football which added to the fun atmosphere.

This is a Field attached to a caravan site. The caravan site itself is lovely and has a little shop at the entrance that sells a little of everything which was great.
The campsite was very simple. It is a field with a toilet block. The first half of the field is EH caravan that look pretty permanent the rest of the huge field is camp where you like.
It is a lovely flat field and everyone gave each other plenty of space to camp (nothing worse than someone being too close.) The field has a huge swing/play area in the middle and although it did attract a group of teenagers at night it was fine for our children in the day and they loved it.
The toilet block leaves a lot to be desired and let the site down but was fine for the price.
There is a lot to do in the area, we visited Mold and Rhyl.
The best thing about this site was it is £5 per night which is pretty amazing these days. My OH wants to return as a group with other friends and this site lends itself to groups as it is so spacious. Although it seemed there was no warden it was not needed and everyone was polite and well behaved considering it was the royal wedding bank holiday.
A great time had by all for just £5 per night

Just got back from a 5 day stay here and thought it was lovely. Staff were friendly, shop had all the basics you'd need ,toilets and showers clean, showers a bit cold but we got used to it, loads of space, you can pitch where you like there's no marked out spaces. As the other reviews say there's nowhere to wash up so I bought a washing up bowl and boiled the kettle it's nothing to complain about! We are a family of five in a big tent and it cost £5 a night which is great value. It's about a 15 minute drive to Rhyl or Prestatyn so it's in a good location. I will definitely go back [for a longer holiday next time] and would highly recommend it.

Cheap as chip's!
Cost us £10 a night that included electric hook up. Very basic but very clean, the caravan site has static private owned caravans at the front of the site and the tourer's, tent's and camper's on the top field. It has portacabin toilet's and shower's, the loo's are free but showers are 50p tokens. Only downside there is no sinks big enough to do your dishes or any separate room. Lovely views and as I say very clean, the toilets get cleaned every day and the site is well maintained. Nice little shop but you have to order your newspapers for the next day.
This site is centrally located to get to prestatyn and rhyl. But for £10 a night it was nice would go back again.
We have children who loved the woods and exploring and there is that much to do in wales we only used the camper to sleep in and make our bacon butties in mmmmm!

We paid 5.00 per night so very cheap! Camping field very big and clean and has got nice views. There is a play area for the kids which has swings, see-saws and a climbing frame with slide (quite basic)! It has a shop on site which is small, clean and sells most things. Staff are friendly. There is a woodland walk which can be accessed on the caravan park. There is a club but we didn't go.
The toilet block is old which lets the place down, showers are also old but work and are clean. A token is to be purchased for a shower at 1.00 but that can do all of you as long as you don't let the door shut! There is no laundry area or no area to do your dishes. Bins are to be put at the entrance of caravan park, some distance from the camping field.
On the whole its a cheap campsite but pleasant and friendly. We had fun and so did the kids at a cheap rate! The only real down fall was no were to do the dishes!
We would go again as a short, cheap camping trip!

This site is very cheap - we paid £10 per night including electric. And you get what you pay for! Which in this case, is NO washing up sinks or rubbish bins in the tent field, horrible old portacabin toilet / shower. The lower part of the park is the static park and people there were very nice and it had a decent shop and was well kept. The Tourer fields were at the top of the park and I didnt like it at all.
Good points: Loads of space/room, very cheap pleasant views
Bad points: Horrible ancient portacabin toilet/shower block, no dishwashing facilities, rubbish bins only situated at reception, none on tourer field.
I normally leave positive and factual reviews but this is one place I would never return to.
