We have spoken to the owner of this site, who has advised that is no longer open. He currently has no plans to reopen in the future.

Stayed here bank hol weekend two adults a 2 yr old and 9 yr old. Beautiful surroundings, despite the rain when we arrived. Friendly owner, facilities are basic but clean, ladies showers were better than men's. 20p for 7 mins hot water is good. Plenty of time. Bit awkward for us with a toddler but hot water in sinks was fine.
Plenty of loo roll and soap. Men's electric went off in the night and wasn't back on by lunch the next day, no sign up to explain. There was chemical loo place, and dishwashing sink which we didn't use so don't know if it has hot water.
Games room was a bit disappointing just an old table tennis table that was past it and an old dart board. No sign to say where to get a ball or darts from, and it had no lights in it so kids couldn't use it once it was dark.
All in all for £15 Inc electric it is a good site, great views and nice location, grass needed cutting but I guess weather was not in their favour.
Enjoyed our stay and would come again.

We had a really good break at this site with our caravan, teenage son and dog.
The location made the site special for us. Although close to Llangollen and easily accessed from the A5 it was extremely peaceful with no road noise. The views from the site were superb over the surrounding hills.
It was a great base from which to explore the surrounding area. The owner was friendly and allowed us to select which pitch we wanted. When we were there in August the site was less than half full because of the weather so there was loads of space. Even if full it would not have been too crowded and we put a lot of importance on space and quiet.
The grass where we parked was quite long and the owner apologised that because of the rain he hadn't been able to cut the whole site. It didn't bother us but would some people. The facilities were a bit dated and tired although cleaned every day. The table tennis table wasn't really usable.
We were surprised by how nice LLangollen was. Great pubs and restaurants once you got off the A%. The Corn Mill is a recommendation with tremendous views over the rushing River Dee. Llangollen is how towns used to be before the blight of the supermarket destroyed small local shops. Long may it continue!
Walking in the area is fantastic. At weekends you can catch a free minibus that will take you on a circular walk. Choose where you want to get off and walk - brilliant.
There are also the amazing aqueducts at Trevor and Chirk. We kayaked over both which was a unique experience and not for anyone with a fear of heights.

Just returned from a weekend at this fantastic site. It is only about 30 minutes drive from us but like a different world, the views from the site, (whichever way you look) are stunning! The weather was on our side.
We went to Dolgellau on the Saturday and I walked and my husband ran Cader Idris. We walked into Llangollen on Saturday night and had an excellent meal at The Cornmill, which is right on the river, brilliant food, excellent service and the views of the river, fab!
Lots of lovely shops in Llangollen itself and if you're feeling energetic a walk up to Dinas Bran castle is a good hike also a walk along the canal to the aquaduct and if you have a head for heights even walk across it!
All in all a brilliant weekend, £15 a night, loo's and showers pretty basic but cleaned every day, showers cost 20p for 7 minutes, well worth it!
The owner is a lovely man (as previous reviews) and the cat house is still there, the site is superbly kept.
We're already planning our next visit!

We love this site, we try to get here as much as we can at least twice a month. The owner is a really nice man and I love his cat house which is a replica of his own house. The walks round there are great and my pet dog snoopy loves it. What's great is its only a 15 min walk to the centre of Llangollan and if you feel like a hike then go and see their castle or whats left of it. Also the walk across the viaduct is a hairy one if you don't like heights but good fun

Stayed here for a weekend on a spur of the moment booking. No room on the large field but were given a pitch on the small field at the side of the house. Only us and another caravan on it so it was great. Toilets and showers a bit on the small side but always clean with plenty of loo roll and soap.Showers were 20p but got plenty of time. The water flow was not too good but it did the job.
Site was clean and tidy with lovely scenery and not too far from centre of Llangollen. No tv reception which was a bit of a pain because it was weekend of the England Germany game but found a pub in the town ( wish we hadn't bothered though )
All in all a good site for £15 a night with electric. Friendly owner. Would stay here again.

Easy to find and the site was level with grass cut fairly short, considering the amount of rain they had previous to our visit I'm surprised they got it done. Downside was there was a large amount of manure on the field there was no smell but I wasn't happy about it trailing into the awning.
Check about price when you arrive as another couple with us were charged a different amount and we both had same outfits with awnings. Toilets and showers always clean and soap dispensers full, showers are a bit on the small side (20p) and a curtain across would help so clothes don't get wet, a bit of heat wouldn't have gone amiss either, I must be getting soft in my old age.
Note:- it is only a 10amp site and the whole sites electric went off about 4 times every night only for a short while but was most annoying, also no TV reception. On the up side the views are really good.

Had a lovely welcome and shown to our pitch. Large field and even though it was full it was spacious and didn't feel busy. Quiet site with beautiful views around. People there very chatty and friendly. Toilets and showers are in a portacabin, and spotlessly clean. 20 pence for 7 minutes in the shower.
Washing up facilities limited - a Belfast sink outside with only cold water - so ok to rinse really but as this site caters for caravans and campers guess most people to dishes in their vabs anyway.
Overall I really liked that site and would go again

May 2004 A quiet site just fifteen minutes walk from the centre of Llangollen. Facilities are clean & basic, the site nestles into a very scenic valley next to a small stream. Although the caravans surround a large field, do not expect that chidren will be welcome to play in that field (or even dam the stream). A number of the other owners are here for long periods (and they are on the older side). Believe it or not one older gentlemen got extremly annoyed when our 5 & 7 year old girls dammed the stream since we damaged HIS DAM !. Hence the site is not really suitable for kids.

May 04 This site is nothing flash, but we keep going back. The toilets are clean but they are a porta cabin. The views are lovely, mountains everywhere, lovely walks, and the site has its own 'fairy glen'. Its so peaceful and relaxing. You can walk into Llangollen from the site, its about a 15 min walk. The T.V. reception is very poor, so mention this to the owner and he will try and accomodate you on the 'back wall' of the site. We have plot number 1.
