We have just started camping in our campervan and this is our third trip and our first to a CL site and we couldn't have chosen a better one. Site slightly sloping although we didn't need levellers ourselves the other four caravans/motorhome did. Beautiful countryside views, and the sea in the distance. Slight road noise mainly during 'rush hour!' The site is to the side of the owners garden. Nothing specific for children but there is a reasonable amount of space in the middle for playing.
One shower room (although it doesn't indicate this on the 'facilities' above) with toilet, wash hand basin, chair and plenty of hooks together with a selection of books and games which can be borrowed and a stack of places to go leaflets. £1 charge for shower which covers 15 minutes shower/fan heater - plenty of time for both of us. Also a nice touch, Lorraine had left some bottles of toiletries just in case you forgot yours.
There are masses of interesting places to visit, Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall to name but two. Wells-next-the Sea with its row of beach huts and a must is the village of Holt. Cley is a nice easy stroll away. All in all we packed a lot into our five days. We will be back to this lovely site and area. If I was really nit picking I would have liked an additional separate toilet besides the one in the shower room.

Nice campsite on the edge of Cley Next the Sea, although a little too far out to walk in for the evening. Small, like being in the back garden of the house. Nice views from the site as it is on a hill. One shower/bathroom - £1 is enough for two showers. We couldn't find a light in the shower - might be us!

We have spent a total of 4 weeks at this site over several visits. It is just the nicest little site that we have ever stayed at and has the feel of camping in a friends garden.
The night sky has very little light pollution meaning that the stars on a clear evening are amazingly visible, we have seen many shooting stars. We have also seen barn owls flying back and forth over the cornfield that adjoins the site.
The cafe at cley visitor centre does very nice bacon butties and looks out over the marshes. The Wiveton Belle pub does wonderful meals (for a price) and the strawberry farm on the road out to wells also does nice lunches.
Holt is nearby for Budgens, or indeed Barkers and Larners! and if the kids need entertaining there is a lovely splash/wave pool near Sheringham.

Being a field behind the owner’s farm house, The Sheiling is a very pleasant, classic CL occupying a peaceful situation and possessing sea views, albeit distant. I concur with francesjl’s review below.
The pitching area is very approximately 60m x 40m, slightly sloping, sheltered to the south and east and open to the wind from the north and west.
The facilities are conveniently located in a converted out house in one corner. One single arrangement housing both wc and shower. The interior is very spacious, has modern fittings and is well decorated. Shower costs £1 and is enough for your whole family. There is also a wall mounted fan heater which is great to stand under as you get dried. A superb facility for a CL.
Get your basics in Cley and everything else in Holt or Sheringham. Cley, with its many flint faced buildings is a very attractive unspoilt Norfolk village with several nice tea rooms. If you like traditional seafood, go to Cley Smoke House.
Several eat & drinks pubs on the road from The Sheiling to Cley, Blakney and Morston. Menus often include sea food dishes but expect to pay £3+ for a pint of beer and for main courses to cost £10 - £18.
To sum up, a very nice and popular CL which is perfectly situated for visiting Blakeney National Nature Reserve.

Lovely quiet site, nice clean toilet and shower, books and games to borrow plus leaflets on local attractions. Very relaxed atmosphere, sloping, wonderful views, sea in the distance!
Nothing there for children, but it was a decent sized field with room to play frisbee or ball games.
You could site your van how you wanted.
Cley nurseries across the road does a very good cooked breakfast! Walking distance to Cley village, local pubs, church etc. Blakeney Quay very picturesque, good fun for children to go crabbing - best bait is bacon !
Beware the tide, it comes in and out very fast, you won't believe it until you see it.
Sheringham is the nearest sandy beach when the tide is out, go past the lifeboat and there are rock pools to explore.
RSPB reserve at Cley marshes is very popular.
