We stayed here for four nights at £15pn, we had a choice of where to park but all pitches have a view of Ely Cathedral.
The site offers pitches on basically the lawn in front of the farm house, there is electric but you may need a long extension lead depending where you pitch, water point, there is an Elsan point and a toilet in the farm yard.
The site is quiet and there is an abundance of wildlife, everyday while on a walk we saw deer, either muntjac or fallow and on our last morning there was a muntjac deer on the lawn(campsite)
You can walk into Ely along the river Great Ouse or along a footpath through woods. , both are about 2 miles. Ely is a small version of York or Cambridge with a great variety of shops and eateries. , a market on Thursday and Saturday. Then there is the Cathedral. There are parks to sit and eat your lunch. Pubs beside the river and boat tours along the river.
The campsite is an ideal base if you have a car and you want to explore further afield. We will be back

As someone previously said it was just like staying on the front lawn. Great views of Ely Cathedral across the fields, a beautiful setting.
Only facilities were hook up, water, toilet disposal and one toilet in the farmyard so pretty rustic!
Two ways into Ely, either along the river or a path paralleling the main road. The river path was our favourite taking about an hour.
We cycled to Wicken Fen nature reserve which took about 90 mins, including cycling into Ely to pick up the cycle route to Wicken which was all off road or very quiet lanes.
A lovely place to stay at a very good price - only £12 a night.

The start of our holiday. Took a little bit of finding - didn't use the satnav but once found, what a lovely little site. Had three nights here and loved it. The toilet and basin were a bit basic-not too good if you don't like spiders but adequate. You have water, electric and rubbish bins and lovely bird song in the morning, a friendly pony in the stable along with a little torty cat and, I think, swallows flying in and out of the stables. The walk to Ely (which we did twice there and back)was quite long. Took us about an hour but very pleasant, albeit rather hot and across two railway lines. Had a very nice lunch in The Cutter on Sunday. Would certainly recommend the site

For us, a perfect little site. Basically pitching up in someone's garden, under mature trees with a view of the cathedral. Lovely walk into Ely along the river. The cathedral is awesome and the little city very pleasant. Well worth a visit. Although there were 4 campervans, we didn't feel cramped as there is plenty of space and somehow there is an odd sense of privacy being under and amongst the trees. Basic facilities but we much prefer this sort of camping experience than huge, regimented sites. Owner left us to it. Real value for money at £7.

A pleasant surprise. It was little difficult to find in the dark, but the owners were very welcoming and friendly. The campsite has lovely views of Ely Cathedral which we walked to the following morning along the canal. We were alone for the weekend so it was beautifully quiet. This site is ideal for dog walking. The facilities are basic with just a clean toilet and hand basin, waste bins and water. We would definitely go back to Branham Farm again.

In full view of Ely Cathedral the site is small and basic, flat-ish grass for tents. There is little specifically for children to do except run, climb and swing. You could moor your boat at Braham Farm moorings too. There are horses in a near by field. The trains are audible and just visible but not intrusive.
Only cold water is available.
Little Thetford has no pub.
For cycle touring the area is perfect: flat.
This is what basic camping should be like, at £6 per tent we will be back. Excellent

Site was small, not sure that more than three vans would be comfortable. Nice views. Would have been nice to know where local shops etc were. Toilet and hand washing facilities were basic but as we had our own not a problem. Facilities to empty waste water could be difficult for someone less mobile. While we were there the bins were not emptied so we took our recyleable waste out with us to supermarket bins. Surprised at this as owners asked us to take bird feeder down because of attracting rats. Not bad for a few days. Not sure I would go back again.

Lovely little site very close to Ely.
Stayed here for long weekend in motorhome very basic facilities only one outside toilet and sink and hole in ground for gray water and toilet waste. However if in fully equipped caravan or motorhome this isnt a problem as each pitch has Elec hook up and water is also where the pitches are so easy to fill up your tank.
We were the only ones there and pitched up so had a constant view of the cathedral across the fields.
Easy to get to Ely by Bike or walking did both no need to go via road you can follow the track by the river which is just behind the farm and over the railway line easy to find. Very nice cycle or walk in this way next to the river and watching the boats go up and down takes about 15 mins on bike and 30 by foot. Also noticed people fishing from the banks too so if this your type of thing would be a great place to camp.
Ely - the Cathedral is worth a visit we also managed to get a tour up the tallest tower and on the very top you can see for miles could even just about make out our van at the farm. Make sure you go down to were the boats moor up (the footpath/track will lead you in this way) and while away the time sitting by the banks watching the different boats or trying out the pubs and eating places along the front.
Really liked it here will go again also no times to arrive or leave by so able to fully enjoy the area. Due to basic facilities and only open to camping and caravan members the prices are very reasonable.

June 2004 A delightfully tiny site beside a working victorian farm & farmhouse. Five grass pitches with beautiful views to Ely cathedral. Quite magical and how true camping should be!
The only downside is that there are very minimal facilities, i.e. all that is on offer is a short walk through a farm building to an outside WC (with sink). That's it!
However, Campers pay only £2.50 a night and Motorhomes only £3.50. A bargain and a truly unique location.
There are a number of sizeable dog walks direct from your pitch out into the open countryside. Bliss. No facilities, pub shop etc are walkable but it is only a five minute drive to Ely.
There is a railway line approx 1/2 a mile away but with the quietest electric trains I've heard (or not, as they are very quiet).
If you don't mind roughing it this really is a lovely location - I highly recommend it.
