We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cobbs Meadow. We prefer the quiet CL sites and Cobbs Meadow was exactly what it said it would be; a lovely flat field, perfect hook up and plenty of space with non marked out pitches which I prefer. It was very peaceful. Extremely spacious. There is a drinking water tap, a chemical toilet disposal and several refuse points - and nothing else! Fabulous! The site is well placed for Canterbury - we used the park n ride. It's within easy reach of Dover and the coastal resorts such as Whitstable (absolutely delightful), Margate and Sandwich. There are plenty of marked footpaths from the site and we had a lovely walk one sunny morning. I must recommend The Artichoke pub in Chartham. We had a fabulous evening meal there, generous portions and well priced. I will mention that there is a train line that runs close to the site. These are possibly the quietest trains I have ever come across and not that frequent, so please don't let this put you off this great site.

This beautiful Kent Meadow is in a quiet secluded spot and a perfect location for exploring the historic area of Canterbury and the Kent coastline.
We found the owner to be helpful, polite, friendly and more than ready to adapt to our plans and also to pass over a wealth of local knowledge onto us - something we much needed!
The facilities were exactly as described on the profile and we particularly loved the peace and quiet we found at the site. The birdsong - particularly at night (also noticed by another visitor I see!) was a further bonus. How rarely we get to experience such a delight of nature!
We will be back again!

Yes its caravan club members only but other non members do stop there.
We met 2 German lads that had just got of the ferry and spent the night there.
5 electric hook up points. No toilet or shower block so you have to use your own on board toilet which we didn't mind.
There is a chemical toilet waste on site.
And drinking water tap on the far side of the site.
The site itself is nice and flat and the owner Mrs Ash has sheep there to keep the grass nice and low.
French milking sheep.
3 miles from the centre of Canterbury.
All major Supermarkets are within 3 miles.
A pub called The Red Lion 77 High Street Bridge CT4-5LB was the best pint I found and Very good Food and Value for Money. The Land lord is Rene Renault a French guy with a great personality.
Please watch out for the Narrow lanes leading to the Site it can be a bit tight.
By the way at Night we were sung to sleep by Nightingales.

We have just returned after spending a wonderful 9 nights at cobbs meadow, we found the site to be exactly as described. Very peaceful and spacious pitches.
The owner was very helpful and came most mornings to empty the bins. My father in law arrived a couple of days later over the bank holiday and we had to use a splitter for the electricity, this was no problem as it was probably the best supply of electricity we have used on a cl site.
The area around the site is beautiful. Would recommend and we will be returning!

Booked as overnight stop for ferry. Lovely setting with large flat field where you can pitch where you like. Advertises as Caravan Club CL site, so should be limited to 5 units. Unfortunately, even though we had booked, we were the 8th unit that day and had to use a splitter to get electric hookup, so not impressed, and will not use it again. Having said that, if I hadn't expected to be one of only five, I would consider returning, as the setting was quiet and clean, and convenient for Dover. The owner was very pleasant, and her fact-sheet for the area was good. She did tell us when we booked that the approach is down narrow lanes, and she was right!
