It is an awful place, I saw several rat catching boxes on the site and that did not surprise me.
I spoke with the ‘manager’ about the toilets and shower conditions his only excuse was that the person who should clean them did not appear that day???
And last but not least it cost me 25 pound, for a place between 2 caravans with people who lived there forever as seen on the mesh in their yard.
I never come back here.

I had read older reviews of this site and giving people the benefit of the doubt, I thought that facilities would have improved.
Regrettably I was mistaken and found the toilet/ shower block to be awful. There was a mop and bucket in the gents block that looked fossilised, it had been so long since it had seen water.
The toilets were disgusting and that is the kindest wording that I could use.
The showers were a further breeding ground for bacteria and mould, with walls so dirty, one could scrape it with a trowel.
A great pity, as the location was quite pleasant.

Never again! First thing the gate to the touring field was chained and locked! I don't like being locked in anywhere especially on holiday.
Lots of scruffy caravans that were there all the time ( just because they live there doesn't mean they shouldn't be washed) whole place scruffy which is a shame because managed properly would be a great site.
Toilet block wasn't to bad looking but didn't use as they were cold and damp not very welcoming.
As said at the beginning never again!

The site warden has advised that as from 2012 the toilets and showers have been upgraded, and the hot water system is now fully functional.

Nice flat pitches that are well cared for
The toilets fine to stand but I would avoid sitting. No Hot water to the sinks or washing up.
Bins needing emptying.
Potential to be a good little site could do with a lot of TLC and general tidying up. Nursery at rear of campsite very tatty, but not part of the campsite.
Both my kids enjoyed themselves playing football and scootering

Stayed on this site for 6 nights, We would normally stay on caravan club CL sites but our friends we met up with wanted a site with all the facilities, so they booked us onto here. First impressions when we arrived were O. K although the site has a very tight turn into the touring field and if you had a long outfit you may well struggle. As with the other reviews the site is split into two, one side for permanent residents and the other side for tents / tourers, the area itself was Ok, although there was a fair amount of dog mess (the permanent residents seemed to walk there dogs across tourer field). The electric hook up had broken points, plugs leading to plugs leading to extensions, but it did work OK. The showers, toilets, and sinks had black mould, rotton wood, slimey floor, no hot water to sinks but the showers did have hot water
Site states no cycling, ball games etc and directs you to the field next door where there are swings and a slide, but this did not stop the permanent residents letting their children drive quad bikes around the site.
The location of the site was ideal for us as we were visiting friends, it is fairly near the main trunk road and near the main railway line so you do get a fair bit of noise from that. Overall this site could be made into a lovely caravan site

Campsite divided into 2 fields.
1st field on entry is mainly for sited/residential, 2nd field for tourers or tents, whilst the pitches themselves are slightly sloping and well cared for, the toilets are something to be avoided, no Hot water to the sinks, and in need of cleaning. When I complained about the lack of hot water to the sinks, I was told that if you can't stand a bit of cold water on your face then you shouldn't be camping.
Apparently a part had broken on the boiler.
The ladies toilet shed was painted whilst we were there, but they weren't kept clean afterwards, there didn't seem to be any lady cleaners on-site.
The washing-up area was always dirty and smelling.
As was said on a previous review, this site could do with a lot of TLC and general tidying up

Camping field good. Toilets and showers dirty, and no hot water in basins. Shame because site has good potential. Camp site is mainly used as overnight stay for motor homes, coming and going across channel. On a positive note, local pub was friendly and good beer, pub food good bit quite pricey. Local area interesting, and nice small local villages.

Stayed at the site after a long trip on the ferry from France looking forward to a long hot shower.
The site itself was fairly pretty, easy to find and we were sited in a field on our own but next to a caravan field that appeared to be inhabited by permanent residents !
But we should have checked the facilities before paying. Toilets and showers were in a portable cabin / shed set up which I can only describe a smelly and dirty and which I could not use.
The sad thing is that all this place needed was TLC and a bloody good clean and it would have been fine

Stayed this site as a stop off on our way over to France via the Tunnel.
Site is level and clean with neatly cut grass. Facilities were clean too. Separate portacabin facilities for male and female, washing up facilities and washing machine/tumble drier. Had an EHU - wasn't split as in a previous review - perhaps we were just lucky?
There is wi-fi if you need it at a small charge. The owner was really helpful and friendly. Didn't matter to him that we didn't arrive until 8 pm due to a traffic jam on the M20 caused by an accident.
Perfectly adequate for what we required. Would have no hesitation in stopping there again.
