Visited Bartletts farm for a couple of nights in our folding camper. Very warm welcome by the owner who lives in the cottage on your right as you go in.

The CL field is at the top of the lane and has wonderful views across Essex countryside and depending on time of year may have the hay field growing in front of you providing a wonderful setting.

Slightly sloping site but good hedge cover all round edge so nice and secluded and plenty of space for kids to run round and have fun including a large rally field and other fields you can walk around.

Toilet emptying is back down at front side of cottage and drinking tap as you enter the CL field.

RHS Hyde Hall just up road and wortha visit and Hanningfield nature reserve a few minutes drive the other way.

Lovely garden centre right opposite entrance also has a good little cafe where you can sit outside. Bell pub two minutes drive back towards A130 is also good.

What simple camping should be like!

This is the most lovely campsite. Very quiet, ideal for dog walking and wonderful if you want to get away from it all, surrounded by beautiful fields and lovely views. The owner is an incredibly nice and accommodating man, always friendly and welcoming. Pub around 2 miles away, shops also not too far.
Easy to find from the A130 and easy access to field. Would highly recommend, we will be returning as regularly as we can for wonderful breaks from the town!
