Large site for only 5 campers. Lots of room and basic facilities but clean and good views.
Only problem is farmer doesn't answer phone so difficult to get reservation sometimes.

We were given the gate code, it was like camping in parkland, beautiful trees, acres of space, the grass was cut, although a bit brown due to our hot weather. This is a C L site, the fee was a bargain.
We stopped there on our way from Camelford to Dover to catch the ferry, just off the motorway, it was very convenient, we would have no hesitation staying there again.

A very nicely set site in Park Land with a neat water and disposal area. This is a no ammenity site.
It is grass but has a firm gravel track that is long enough for a motorhome to exploit if on short stay to avoid any bogging in risk whatever time of the year. I can't confirm it but suspect the substrate is solid as the area was at one time used as a source for flint stones.
The strength and weakness of the site is its proximity to the M3. The strength is making it an ideal near zero mileage diversional location for a night stop in transit to and from the south and the port. This is achieved by slipping off the M3 at Junction 7 and slipping back on at J 9 and running parallel to the M3 on the A33, much of which is dual carriageway and quiet. Site access is IMO easy even with a 8 meter caravan.
The weakness is an unavoidable background noise from the M3, but we were there when there was no tree leaf cover and even so slept very well. I will have no hesitation in using it again.
Contacting owner is essential to gain combination lock access code. He pops down for the modest fee.
