We hired a static caravan here for a long weekend. The site is located in the middle of nowhere and was very still and quiet, which was perfect for me.

On-site are tearooms and a small shop, although they were not used when we were there.

The nearest pub is around a mile away and served nice looking and reasonably priced food. A good range of beer and lager too. We did not eat there, so cannot comment on the food.

There is a post office for essentials about half a mile the other way and had good opening hours.

For the larger shops, you will need to hear to Barnstaple or Ilfracombe. Barnstaple has all your usual large stores, Wickes, Tesco, etc. And Ilfracombe will meet your needs, but without such huge superstores as Barnstaple.

The local area is lovely with many coastal drives nearby and some beautiful beaches to walk and play on etc.

The campsite itself looked well equipped for tourers etc. With spotless facilities and friends we were with said the showers were lovely, albeit unisex.

No playarea or playing fields, but children are welcome and able to make their own entertainment.

Dogs are welcome, although I only saw a couple on site, and not sure if there was a dog walking area at all.

The static we were in was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed for a holiday in the area.

We stayed at this site over May day bank holiday. Entering the site there are hard standing pitches with gravel and grass by the side, each pitch has it's own tap, electric hook up and tv aerial point. Although these pitches are on a slope they have been stepped in and levelled and very easy to reverse onto from a tarmac road, there is also a separate parking area for your car.

The tent pitches are all supplied by electric hookup posts that also have a light on top that can be switched off at night, although the pitches are on a slight slope.

The facilities are very good with communal shower room with separate shower cubicles that have plenty of room for changing and your clothes stay dry. These are probably the best campsite showers I have ever used, plenty of hot water at all times of the day with power shower heads.

Although there is no actual play area for kids, there is plenty of room for play and feeding birds.

There are ground fowl roaming freely which was lovely to see although the peacock does become annoying with squawking very late into the evening.

You are within easy reach of Barnstaple, Woolacombe and ilfracombe so lots of places to visit within a short drive.

We will definitely return to Kentisbury grange, very enjoyable.

This is a small, peaceful, touring park which shares the grounds with a large private house and a few chalets and static caravans which are let.

Set in several acres of lawn with mature trees, fenced pond, lovely countryside views and with roaming hens, fowl and peafowl this is a very tranquil site.

The touring pitches are largely hardstanding - with plenty of room for an awning - with most having its own 16amp hook up and water supply and waste system. There are ample discreet rubbish points as well as a recycling area.

The toilets are very clean and warm with piped music. The shower block next door is unisex with several private, lockable cubicles. Again this is spotlessly clean, very warm and well-equipped with pegs, seating etc. The shower itself is the best we have come across in years of camping - fully adjustable temperature, powerful jet, and no constant pressing a button - other site owners take note!

The coast and the towns of Barnstaple, Iflracombe, Combe Martin are all nearby.

We didn't visit the on site tea room or shop and so cannot review these. The nearest large supermarket is 20 minutes or so away.

There's not a huge amount here for young people to do but well-behaved children and dogs on leads seemed very welcome and the site warden and owner were very approachable.

We've not actually stayed at this site yet, but we did go for a good look round the other day, and as the site has no reviews I thought I'd write one.

This is a small site in the grounds of the owners large house, it is right by the A39 but it didn't seem very busy or noisy while we were there.

Most of the pitches have electric, a light, a tap and a TV aerial socket. The site has a significant but not severe slope to it.

The owner is lovely and was very happy to show us around, including a peek at one of the nine chalets which was furnished and equipped to a very good standard.

There are two loos for the ladies with sensibly sized cubicles, one cubicle for the gents plus urinals. The showers are unisex (individual cubicles though) with shelves for your bottles etc and hooks for your towel and clothes. There is also a family shower room with shower cubicle, seating and a sink AND there is a separate disabled loo/shower room. All were clean and smart and the owner is justifiably proud of them.

There is no play area. There are peacocks, guinea fowl, ducks and geese wandering freely. There is an on-site tea room and a pub that does food just a mile down the road at Blackmoor Gate. Barnstaple with all it's shops is approximately 20 minutes away by car.
