Lovely owners, when we arrived we where met with the owners who showed us our pitch for the 3 weeks we were there. As soon as we were setup jeanette (the owner) brought us a piece of cake each to have with our cupper. Toilets were nice and clean, showers were lovely with the little touches (buckets in the showers for your shampoo, etc)would recommend the site. Nice and quite for a relaxing holiday.

Fantastic place. The owners are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The site is well maintained and very pretty. The facilities are very good for a site of this size. We had a small dog and we were greeted with cake and dog treats. They even lent us a chair and the rental for a fire pit every night is really cheap. Lovely place and lovely people, we can't wait to get back there with the kids.

Very friendly and helpful older couple running the place.
As everyone says it is right next to a fast main road and can hear the traffic roaring along at night. We let our children play in the field but the gate leading to the main road was left open all the time so be aware of that.
The field was nice and grassy with it being mainly flat. The ground was a little soft and could see it holds water a little after lots of rain, but overall good.
Yes showers and toilets were unisex, but who cares? They seemed OK but as usual not quite up to my OCD type high standards of cleanliness. Two washing up sinks, two showers and four toilets but never had a problem waiting as not many people were staying there,(obviously made the site nice and quiet). There was a freezer you could use in a games room along with using freezer packs if required. Also washing line to use.
Overall OK and site is central between Holsworthy and Stratton/Bude, but the along with the main road problem was the guaranteed stink of chemical waste disposal from the disposal area right by the facilities block. You had to walk through this stink every time to get to them while sometimes catching a whiff when playing in the field. This I'm afraid let it down for me, but if this was sorted then would of given it higher marks.

It was nice and quiet for us at the time of our visit. We had arranged to meet up with a friend so we got to pitch up next to each other.
The road is the worse thing with this site, it was rather busy.
It an easy ride to Bodmin plenty of shops to stock up on goodies.
The showers and toilets are communal with plenty of hot water. The water for the washing up was HOT! be careful if you send the kids to do the washing up, I think a warning should go up about this and I would be surprised if it hasn't been requested before.

Spent 2 weeks here with my daughter in separate pitch. Facilities are first class, always clean, good and hot, excellent all round.
You have to look out for the chickens, they do leave little surprises for you but they were no bother. Was fun seeing them drink from my dogs water bowl without her reacting!
The bottom end of the field was a bit waterlogged while we were there but further up was fine.
The road is my only problem with this site. It is very close, i.E. The other side of the hedge. Being a long straight stretch traffic will approach the junctions very fast and the noise put me off a lot.
Apart from the road a great site.

A nice sheltered site for a tent in bad weather! Convenient for the Sustrans National Cycle Route 3, Bude and Hartland area.
The site is flat and the grass well-maintained. The main road is next to the site but I didn't find traffic noise a nuisance at all, and anyway it's mainly in commuting times.
I was the only camper so had the run of the facilities. I must say I prefer separate male / female washrooms but I had them to myself so this was irrelevant. They were clean enough but a little cobwebby. Showers nice and hot, and it was great having the games room as I've only a titchy tent.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and the tariff very good value.

The site is in a great location for touring the surrounding areas.
The field is mostly level, although we managed to park on a slope, which as a newbie to camping caused me no end of trouble trying to get my camper level.
The field currently has a drainage ditch running around its edges - so younger children would need to be kept an eye on. The owners did however get a rope and rope off the ditch so the children knew where not to go.
The toilet block was next to the camping field, attached to the main building. There were plenty of toilets (unisex) and a shower room with 2 showers. All were kept very clean.
Next to the shower room is a recreation room, containing numerous books to borrow, a table tennis table and table football.
There is a wooded area at the far end of the field with a style for access, but a sign saying no dogs allowed meant we didn't explore further.
The owners are extremely friendly, and are always there to offer help, or have a chat.
The camp site is next to the main road in to Bude, but isn't really a problem for noise. The farmhouse and camp site are slightly off the main road, one side of which is on a hill - this caused me trouble when pulling away as my car wasn't keen. This may be just my driving of course, but I opted to pull away the other way and turn around at the local garage.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here, and would return.

We visited this site in august for one week, with no regrets. The kids enjoyed it, a fantastic quite site with good clean facilities, (3 showers and 4 toilets) Even when site got busy there were never large queues. A mix of tents and caravans, electric hookup. Across the road there is a field with access to the river Tamar, also access from the bottom of the site through a lovely little wooded area. Great location within reach of lots and lots of fantastic places to visit. There is a garage about a mile up the road with a camping shop ,also opposite to that there is a pub with take away food service. Very friendly owners, went out their way to help us when our car decided not to start. When back down that area we will defo return.
