We have visited this site on several occasions in 2005 staying in our tent and like it so much enquired about getting a permanent pitch here for a mobile home. Unfortunately for us there is a huge waiting list. The facilities toilets are superb and it is so handy for the local area

After reading previous reviews of this site, all 2004, the first thing I would say is that this site has changed hands. I doubt the toilets were cleaned every day. if they were it was a.m but by night time they needed doing again. Thats it, moan out of the way.
We had two weeks on this site and despite the ongoing work, (putting new block paving round toilet block etc) we enjoyed it. There was plenty of space on the tent field but caravan part was full. There is a lot of building work in the area and I'm sure some tradesmen were staying on site. I think there was also two or three "travelling" vans on site but to be fair neither of these bothered us. Site is completely level and is served by good roads so is an ideal base for fife, added to this, the fact that I have family in the area, we will definitely return. My small gripes haven't put us off.

June 2004 We spent a fantastic weekend at Dunnikier Holiday Park in Kirkcaldy. This was the venue for the first UK camp Site Scottish meet for 2004. The site has some of the best shrubbery and trees that I have seen on any site and this adds to the beauty of this exceptionally well kept site. We could not have chosen a better venue for this mini rally. Liz and Paul, the owners, work tirelessly to keep the parks high standards. The amenities block is kept immaculate and I could only hear praise from the members on the cleanliness of the toilets, showers etc. It had never occurred to me to venture to the Kirkcaldy area for a weekend break before and I am certainly delighted that we chose Dunnikier as the venue for this meet. The area has a lot to offer. My sons and granddaughter decided to come along to Kirkcaldy for the weekend and travelled by train across the Forth Rail Bridge from their homes in West Lothian. On the Saturday they took the short train ride to Kinghorn and spent a day on the beach, returning to the site in time for the barbecue in the evening. Many thanks to Liz and Paul for providing the area for the barbecue and room to put up some Gazebo's in case of poor weather. We didn't need them due to plenty of sunshine and dry nights! The Sunday was another warm and dry day, once again the lads decided to go to explore another area and this time it was a slightly longer journey to Burntisland. An attraction being the beach and the shows, the shows are at Burntisland for the whole of the summer. Taking the train is probably a better option as it can be very busy in Burntisland and parking can be a problem during school holidays. Overall the weekend and the meet were a great success with many members looking forward to a return to Dunnikier both this year and for many years to come. Many thanks to Paul and Liz for helping in the organisation of the meet and for joining in and being a part of our group. I wish them great success for the future. I would highly recommend that if you are planning a holiday in the Fife area then book into Dunnikier.

June 2004 Excellent site, well placed for touring the Fife coastal towns and villages. Well landscaped with good dog walking close at hand. Friendly and accomodating ownwers who understand the needs of caravaners and campers. Fantastic toilet and shower facilites, spotlessly clean and endless hot water, shower cubicles with attached changing rooms (no wet feet clothes etc here). Handy for retail parks etc, to stock up on the essentials. Quiet, well run site. Will return in future.

June 2004 The new owners of this site have worked very hard since they took over and are very welcoming. The site is very handy for those wishing to visit Edinburgh and Fife without moving sites. All facilites are neat and clean.
