We stayed here for 10 nights in august and really enjoyed ourselves, this is a lovely quiet campsite the owners wendy and her husband were really genuine lovely people, there are only 2 toilets and one is a tight fit and 1 shower in the ladies, but we never had to wait but did get busy for the two sinks, the best way to avoid waiting was to sit outside your tent and watch, as others say there is a fridge freezer in the toilet/shower block which is great if you have no fridge as there is no electric hook up. It took us 3 mins to walk to the beach, there is also plenty coastal walks, a short drive into marizion to St. Michael's mount also Penzance is really near, we visited the little harbour town of porthleven which we really loved and kept going back. Hells mouth is a short drive away as is st ives, we also revisited the eden project but that is about a 90 minutes away, all in all we really enjoyed our holiday and the campsite and will definitely be going back (happy campers)……….

A gem of a site. Quiet, well laid out and close to the beach. There are individual bays for each tent or small motorhome which shelter the tents and give some privacy. The beach is only 5 minutes walk away at most and Penzance a few minutes drive for big shops.
Showers and washing up facilities clean and free. No football on site which is fine as there is ample space down at the beach and not really enough room on the site.

I agree totally with the previous reviewer.
This site was ideal, small, calm, spotless toilets, hot free showers, fridge and freezer with ice blocks which you can borrow. You can see the sea from most pitches and the beach is 3mins walk away. Wendy, the owner, couldn't have even more helpful if she tried!
We visited the lizard nearby and Kynance Cove was stunning. We also loved Mousehole, Sennen cove and Cape Cornwall.
Want to go back ASAP!

This is our second visit to this lovely campsite. There are only 12-14 camping pitches and 3 static caravans with a spotlessly clean toilet/shower block. There are good washing up facilities with access to a large fridge freezer. For children there is an undercover seating area/play area but let's be honest why do you need this when you have a lovely beach-Praa sands within easy walking distance (150-200yds. The owner is very helpful and friendly and maintains the campsite to a high standard. Within walking distance is a newsagents/grocery store and a beach cafe, bar and beach shop. There is also a handy (if somewhat pricey) bus service that is regular and efficient that passes through all of the towns along the coast and if you like real ale you can get to Helston to visit the Blue Anchor and Spingo brewery by bus. We did a couple of coastal walks and caught the bus back. I will hopefully go again and would recommend

Really lovely campsite within very easy walking distance of the beach, bar and cafes at Praa sands.
This is a neat and tidy campsite with very clean facilities and pristine level pitches all beautifully landscaped.
Wendy (the owner) is very friendly and accommodating and makes you feel very welcome.
You can make use of the communal fridge/freezer and also borrow ice blocks should you need to.
This is a quiet and peaceful campsite and not suitable for groups.

Fantastic site, really lovely friendly owner, small and quiet but well kept, lots of care has been taken with this site. There are shrubby hedges between pitches which is great for that bit more privacy. Although the site is on a slope our pitch was terraced as I remember so not a problem.
Only a small shower/ toilet block but this was never a problem. Ample for the site.
Also there is a sandpit which our kids played in, although it's by one of the entrances to the site which was a bit of pain as was not really possible to let them run over by themselves as was a bit dodgy with cars.
The beach was really busy as to be expected for summer hols, with lots of cafes / icecreams etc. Lovely sand though and rockpools. Really easy walk down to the beach, so great location for a campsite.
All in all, highly recommend and will return no doubt.

Aug 2003 Wonderful little site. This is a small, quiet but very friendly campsite run by the owners who are always stopping for a chat with campers and full of ideas and advice on where to go, best place to park etc etc.. The site has 3 (maybe 4) static vans but have 15 pitches for tents and tourers.
We have a huge frame tent which only just fitted on the actual pitch but its not the kind of site where you have to stay within markers etc. and the owners were not bothered by this. The pitches all have a sea view down to Praa Sands which is less than 5 mins walk down a narrow but sometimes busy lane(have your wits about you if you have children/pushchair). The site is sloping but the pitches at the bottom of the field are level.
The shower block is tiny, 2 loos and 1 shower in the ladies but this was not a problem as this is a very laid back small site. Free and plentiful hot water. The site & amenities were kept spotlessly clean. There is no shop on the site but a few can be found down by the beach along with a pub/cafe. There is a chemical loo point at rear of shower block and sinks for washing pots and clothes. There is also a socket in the entance to the shower block which we used for recharging our mobile phone. The owners also offer a freezer block service.
This site is a real gem and we will definately be going back. Excellent value for money I think we paid about £10 per night in August. The beach is great too, soft golden sand and plenty of rock pools.
