A great spot for a young family
You are given loads of space
There are animals to see and a well cared for play area.
The walk to the beach is mainly off road and about a mile down and a mile up which had to be ice cream powered.
Some interesting things for sale in the shop.

Was rather disappointed that there was no electricity or lighting in your tents, we had a lovely time its a nice place camp site was great.
It was just hard trying to find our beds in the tent in the dark.
Also we used the bbq and it fell to pieces.
Will visit again at some point.

Loved this site in one of my favourite parts of the country.
Relaxed atmosphere and good facilities including a well stocked shop.
Walk into Woolacombe is great. Walk back up the hill is not an easy one!
Highly recommended for anyone who likes a spacious, chilled site high on a hill with lovely countryside views.

Really nice campsite located close to Woolacombe Beach and town. Situated in the rolling hills.
Clean good facilities. Unobtrusive staff. Handy little shop.
This is not a holiday park style site, it is a traditional campsite, which is peaceful and you get a good sized pitch.
Price reasonable for area

Very nice basic site with wide views, lots of room for non-electric pitches, reasonably level, toilets and showers are Ok if a bit dated. Good wee on site shop, which does some hot food. Friendly staff. Accepts dogs and most campers seemed to have at least 1! However site was pretty quiet and we didn't see any dog poo left lying.
20 min walk down a steep (23%)hill to beach and Woolacombe, bit harder on way back up. There are car parks near the beach if you wanted to drive down.
Good prices for 7 nights or more.

The beauty of this site is it that the beach is a walk away it's fairly steep narrow lane direct to the beach allow about ten minutes down to the beach and 20 minutes back to the campsite. There is a little shop on site for your essentials chocolate bars pint milk. Site is a couple fields one with some wooden frame play area ) the grass is fairly long there are 2 toilet blocks functional but have seen better days. This is popular site with surfers. If your looking level pitches with golf course grass no it's not theee usually farm animals in nearby fields the road noise is minimal. If you choose to use a tent pay attention the weather reports caravans and campervans fine all weather. So tents it's fine fair weather campsite. The location is good for a nearby local towns/ ilfracombe lynmouth valley of rocks clovelly is bit further away biggish local town Barnstaple however we would say if your looking for beach holiday with some nearby rural sites that would please a photographer and probably the cheapest pitch prices this the one. Not sure how we been using this site but it must be on and of 10 years the site has plenty of space is rarely ever needs to turn anyone away even in high season

I came here for the umpteenth time with some friends and ended up staying on for a couple of nights to explore the local footpaths. Since my last visit new toilets and showers have been fitted, they are well appointed but being unisex cubicles they are not a very efficient use of space.
The location is pleasant but is not in the town so expect to drive (and pay £££ for parking) or walk down/up a very steep hill to get here. We walked to Woolacombe twice each day, once to visit the beach and in the evening to drink booze but we are all fairly fit and active.

Lovely campsite very close to Woolacombe, Iifracombe and Croyde all the beaches we visited.
Good price for a nice campsite, nothing like those overpriced holiday camps nearby. In the middle of the Green field is a play area for the kids very nice. Also lots of room for playing football and flying a kite.
It's great that there is a little shop and take away on site with a lot of good choice's of food and drink. There is a fridge/freezer to store your food/drinks and freezer packs which is open about 8. 30am to 08. 30pm.
Nice staff, very quick check-in.
Set among some nice countryside with views of the rolling hills. Relatively flat site (gently slope in places).
Toilets/showers were very good - new shower and toilets block opened and they are a treat. Waiting area also bigger.
This was my first visit to the campsite and I would definitely stay here again, been coming to this area for many years and cannot believe I hadn't heard of this site before.

Lovely little campsite very close to Woolacombe. Good price for a nice campsite, nothing like those overpriced holiday camps nearby.
The beach/town is just 15 minutes walk away, but bear in mind it's all downhill so the walk back would be tough! I couldn't brave the walk up so we got a taxi for £5.
It's great that there is a little shop and take away on site with a good choice of food. There is a fridge/freezer to store your food/drinks and freezer packs which is only open until about 7 or 8pm (opens at 8am) which was rather inconvenient.
Nice staff, very quick check-in.
Set amongst nice countryside with views of the rolling hills. Relatively flat site (gently slope in places).
Toilets/showers were good - nothing flashy. More showers/a bigger waiting area would be ideal as it was very cramped around the sink/shower waiting area. In the second toilet block in the mens there is heaps of space, they should put some more facilities in there.
This was my first visit to the campsite and I would definitely stay here again, been coming to Woolacombe for many years and cannot believe I hadn't heard of this site before.
