The site was immaculate, well spaced out, welcoming.
Bathrooms were fantastic, lots of space in the cubicles for showering my children. Toilets always clean. Washing up facilities, laundry area.
The staff we all friendly and welcoming too.
The view was insanely beautiful even with the bad weather we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave!

A great little site hanging on the side of North Hill, looking out over Minehead and Bridgewater Bay.
Once you have overcome the steep, winding hill on the way to the site (which explains why caravans are not allowed) you are welcomed by the friendly staff and taken to your pitch.
Most of the pitches are on slopes so you will need your leveling ramps but the hardstanding pitches with a hook up are fairly level.
Tent campers will need to pick their spot carefully but the wardens help you find the best pitch for your needs.
The site is quiet, the facilities block is spotless and the views are fantastic. There are interesting walks starting from the site (if you can manage hills) and plenty of places to visit locally.
On dark, clear might the skies are fantastic with the moon and stars clearly visible.
The sunset and sun rises can also be quite spectacular.

A spotlessly clean and well maintained site with really friendly staff and fantastic views from North Hill out over the bay containing Minehead, Dunster Blue Anchor and Watchet.
The site is on a steep hill with narrow roads meaning that touring caravans can't visit but tents, trailer tents and motorhomes are welcome and there are also a small number of permanent chalet type tents. Make sure that you take your levelling ramps as the site is on the side of a hill and slopes.
The busy town of Minehead is only a couple of miles away and walking there is easy but you need to be very fit to walk up the hill to get back so you might want to consider a taxi.
Further afield you can roam all over the NT owned North Hill, visit Exmoor or explore the countryside, beaches and villages of West Somerset and North Devon.

Sloping site with few level pitches. The road up to the site is very narrow and twisty.
The staff were super friendly, excellent facilities which were all free to use. Beware, the toilets are closed between 11 & 12 every day for cleaning.
Lovely rabbits share the site, so may not be suitable for dogs that chase. Fantastic walks nearby. The walk down to Greenaleigh Sands is through woodland, grassland and onto the beach. We then walked to Minehead.
The walk is tough coming back up and is around 8 miles in all. Don’t bother visiting Burgandy Chapel, apart from the doorway, it’s just a pile of rubble and quite a distance off the path to Greenaleigh Sands.
Final word - TAKE TICK HOOKS WITH YOU - I eventually managed to get tick hooks from Tesco pharmacy but the dogs came back with 16 ticks between the two of them. Luckily we humans didn’t get any. Keep trousers tucked into socks when walking on the moors and through woodland!

I loved this site, right on top of the hill with stunning views across Bristol Channel and loads of walking from campsite gate on open moorland and through wooded coombes. Plenty of space for the dog to run around.
Most of the pitches are on sloping grass, there are only a few hard standings and electric pitches. Facilities always clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and can lend extra levelling chocs if need be and battery packs could be charged.
The walk into Minehead is steep and its an OK town, no dogs on the beach which was disappointing given the size of it. The rugged section of the coast path towards Porlock is far more interesting than the non-rugged route.
The road up to the site is very steep in places, with narrow sections, parked cars and hairpin bends. Make sure to follow the instructions given by the site.

I really liked this site, it was walking distance of Minehead, bus stops and down the road the best fish and chip shop.
We have a dog and there is a wood on site for walking dogs but nothing to let them run and couldn't find a field nearby but we did plenty of walking we walked to Dunster (lovely village) it has a castle and a working mill.
The beaches at Minehead are not the best a little better in front of Butlins but the dog beaches at either side of Minehead were disgusting, worst I've ever seen. Minehead is a very nice town with lots of shops down the high street.
I really enjoyed my time here, the showers and toilets were very clean, and the people were very friendly will go again.

The road to the campsite can be a bit daunting and the pitches are mainly on a slope but make the effort because this is a lovely site.
There is a woodland path down to the seaside town of Minehead. It takes about half and hour but you can take a taxi back if the return journey is too steep for you.
But the joy of the site's position for us was the proximity to Exmoor. Walk out of the main gate and cross over the road to find miles and miles of beautiful heather and gorse.
A longer walk, or a car ride, to the right of the site gate gives you amazing views over the Bristol Channel to Wales.
Friendly helpful guardians; clean facilities although they could do with enlarging and updating; plenty of happy holiday makers enjoying themselves outdoors.

Great site near the top of a steep hill on outskirts of Minehead. Pleasant walk into Minehead through woodland and residential area but uphill on way back. Lovely walks from the site onto Exmoor - plenty of chance to see the ponies and fabulous views out to sea. Watch out for ticks if you have a dog. There were issues with the water supply to the showers and toilets while we were there, but good hot showers when they worked. Site on a slope with levelled out sections. Really enjoyed our stay - impressed with Minehead itself (something for everyone) and particularly the moorland walks up the hill from the site. Helpful warden who was happy to make suggestions regarding walks. Delivery van called in the morning but we didn't use it.

A little gem of a site, very accommodating site warden, delivery van for essentials every morning. Spotless toilets and nice ice cream! Steep walk into town and maybe a taxi back, but the view form the campsite is stupendous.
Sites without power tended to be 'on the slosh' but power with hard standing were fine.
Minehead has good facilities, a decent full size heritage railway, plenty of eating houses and all the usual shops. For a North Devon tour can't be a better site. But take care with the drive up the hill follow the instructions.
