Lovely couple who run this site Catherine and John could not be more helpful. Plots are very spacious and grass well kept.
Dog walking area around local field, dogs should be on leads at all times.
Beautiful peaceful site, very quiet and relaxing. Ideal get away from it all.
Central to all of Pembroke with plenty to do and see locally. Thank you.

The site was clean and well presented.
The proprietors are friendly and helpful.
Water is piped to each of the 5 pitches, making it easy to keep the water butt full.
Although clean and well looked after the toilet/shower facility lets the site down.
Kath Williams has told me that they have applied for planning permission to convert existing redundant buildings into a modern toilet facility.

We were warmly greeted on the first day by Jenny (owner’s mum) and Jim (regular guest). Woodside is peaceful, remote and central for the attractions of south-west Wales. Shops, post office, pub etc are all a car journey away. There are glorious, unspoilt views all the way to the Preseli hills and cows grazing in the field next to ours. The camping field is well tended, gently sloping and sheltered, perfect for our tent. The site is enclosed and not visible from the road which makes it safe and secure. Out of approximately 20 pitches there were never more than 5 occupied at any one time during our week long stay.
The area felt alive with wildlife. Lots of swallows nesting nearby, buzzards regularly seen and owls heard at night. An added treat was the local Oakwood Theme Park fireworks display at 10pm each night. I understand there is a display each night throughout August.
The toilet block is very basic, it’s location in an alleyway means it’s cold even on a hot day. There is one room that houses a shower, a sink and a toilet. The shower room is cramped and would benefit from a little modernisation. I have to question the hygiene of the drinking water tap which has a long length of hose trailing from it onto the ground.
The signage/reception area at the site could be improved. We found the location easily enough but the actual camping field, toilet block and drinking water tap were very difficult to find. Don’t let that put you off though! We had a fantastic time at this lovely campsite.
Woodside’s website doesn’t do it justice. It offers VALUE FOR MONEY so if you like it very basic or if you are able to bring your own facilities this site is for you. Small, quiet and simple, it’s not for children who get bored easily but is a haven for those looking for an escape to the country.
