The nice man tried to charge us 50p per litre of water for our tank. The excuse was that they are on a meter. He then 'did us a deal' of £5 to fill up. I have never heard of this before and was quite shocked. So though £7 per head, per night may seem cheap, it cost four of us £33 for one night with no hook up. The only saving grace was the nice pubs nearby and the proximity to Glastonbury festival gate C entrance. I will not return to this site.

Found this by chance after a day out, was on a list I was given by tourist info tho.
A very helpful and pleasant gentleman showed us around and we decided to stay.
Facilities were very basic but we didnt need anymore than that.
The field itself was well kept and Mr manley pottered around getting to know us all.
We visit the two pubs nearby but you really need a car to the chipshop glad I didnt walk and shepton mallet has large superstores that cater for all your needs.
We will return to the site and I was pleased to see it is a all yr one and will be going again very soon.
I hope many use it otherwise it will become a housing estate like many others

Arrived late on a friday evening, after advance booking.
Right near a NOISY road, could hear traffic literally all night!
Awoke and went to use the facilities, hot showers were promised hut my kids and I didn't get as far as finding the temperature of the water - the toilets were filthy, damaged and leaking, and the showers were covered in cobwebs and mould.
It was literally a bit of scrub land,no park or nice areas.
Its a shame, as the chap running it was really very sweet and polite and came out early in the morning to check we were ok, but we made our excuses and moved on. I must also give credit where credit is due, he allowed us to arrive late, and pay in the morning

Well where do I start? When we first called wanting a place to camp for our very first experience, a very quiet voice answered which made us very wary as we had seen so many horror movies! But when we got there, what a fantastic place. So quiet, two pubs, a chippy even though the planner says there aren't any there are. Toilet blocks needed a bit of work but for the price you pay need we say more? A peaceful experience with no hassle and what lovely gentleman it was who runs it. We will definitely visit again hopefully with our children as they will love it there. The open plan green is just what they will love as our kids are not noisy! Many thank manlease for a magical 24 hours we will definitely be back in the very near future
