Firstly, how to find the site… as we made a couple of errors. The site really is in the middle of nowhere, there is quite a run down small ‘B’ roads then single lane roads. This means it really is quiet the backs straight onto a road and the friday evening rush hour we heard 2 vehicles go past. The site does give directions which are OK but they lead to the farm where the B&B is rather than the Caravan pitches, if you are coming from easingwold you must drive PAST the farm entrance, past a small bungalow and then 50yds you will find a small hole in the hedge with a small CL sign. 54. 1448401 -1. 1848940 is the exact position of the entrance DO NOT go into the farm or you will be doing so reversing to turn your outfit around as we found out.

Once into the site there are 6 power points and a couple of water points along the hedgerow so you can push back into the hedge and look small row of trees at the large trout lake. All the pitches are grass with a gentle slope towards the lake there was no need for lateral levelling. All electric points are 16amp

Bins and elsan point are neatly hidden behind a hedged corner of the site, One general waste bin and a couple of barrels for mixed recyclables.

There are no toilets or showers, kids or club houses, it's just a quiet field in the middle of nowhere. We got good TV signal as well as good mobile signals on 3 and EE.

Overall this is a very quiet site that we would definitely return to, the only negative is that we never see anyone to pay.

What a site. We were looking for a get away from the rat race for a few days and that is exactly what we got. In a beautiful setting overlooking the fishing lake we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet, the birdsong and the sunshine.

No showers but not a problem if you have those facilities. Perfect for our dogs, walks adjacent to the site. Great nearby village of Easingwold has all that you need for supplies.

We will be back as soon as other commitments and availability to the site allow. It seems to get booked up quickly at weekends.

This is our second visit to this Caravan Club CL, and really enjoyed the peace and tranquillity this site offers. The views are excellent and there are 2 small trout lakes in front of the camping field offering day ticket sport. The site is on grass with no hard standings but does offer electric hook ups. At £8.00 per night it is certainly worth the money, and if you enjoy flyfishing, you have this on your front door.
