We visited this campsite on the recommendation of cool camping France. We stayed for 6 nights in early September and the campsite was very quiet. The campsite is on the surrounded on 2 sides by river - although when we meant it wasn't so much a river as a stream but it does make for a very idyllic setting. Cool camping recommends pitches B15 and 16 but this is about as far away from the toilets and showers as you can get. Luckily we had bikes so could cycle to the loo.
The facilities include an indoor and outdoor shower/toilet blocks and outdoor sinks for dishes. The showers and toilets are mixed and not everyone will appreciate this. I know some other English couples commented on this and waited until the 'morning rush' was over before venturing in.
The facilities were generally kept fairly clean and tidy but the campsite was quiet - don't forget to take your toilet paper with you. It may have been a different story in summer when busy.
The campsite owners were a dutch couple who spoke good English and were very helpful. In fact when we had a slight disaster with our tent they couldn't have helped us out more and actually let us move into one of their rent-a-tents for the last few days of our stay free of charge!
The village has enough amenities to make your stay comfortable including a local garage/supermarket which stocks most things and had pretty good opening hours for France. There is also a good butchers and bakery of course for fresh baguette and croissant in the morning. All of which are a short cycle ride (2/3min) or walk.
The campsite is well placed for walks and cycle rides around the beautiful local villages and vineyards. The voie verte is a popular cycle route along the canal du centrale and is flat and takes you through some great places. Unfortunately we never made it very far before finding a restaurant that served a nice lunch and wine. Oh well it is a holiday.
Good points - nice setting, friendly owners, good location, BBQ's allowed.
Downside - Mixed shower and toilet facilities which could have been a bit cleaner sometimes. Facilities a bit of a walk from far end of campsite.
