 Great location for area
Site steward Chris very helpful
Quiet although some road noise
Local shop, Pub and two take aways within walking distance
Sloping well drained field so wedges needed
We will use again during 2024

Great site. The owner was really helpful and friendly.
The site was peaceful and quiet and well placed for visiting St Albans.
Don’t be put off by the sheds on arrival.
Added bonus was the TV reception which was the best yet.

Loved it! Water and EHU all we look for on an overnight stop so don’t know about cassette emptying etc. Don’t know about loo or showers … used our own!
Shopping in Hatfield, supermarket and fuel about 4 miles away, didn’t find takeaway because we didn’t need one!
“Interesting” approach road leading to a large quiet field with plenty hook ups and several water taps so you really are free to choose!
Final gate to field might be a bit ‘nippy’ for an eight foot wide unit!
Electric entry gates now installed … ring the site outside working hours for the entry code or walk in and find “Chris” who will let you in and give the code.
We’ll be using the site again!

Very quiet peaceful site, yes few minutes walk from good pub and shops, really handy for main routes to London. Friendly welcome and provided information of area. Would benefit from added facilities but for location and cost it was OK.

Had to book this site as commons wood was fully booked always stayed there when visiting family. This site was quite and peaceful and at £12 per night is excellent value, also what we liked was the space, the owner was very pleasant. In future when I come up to visit family I will be staying on this site.

Great little CL, there is electric and the usual waste recepticles, there are no toilets or showers so you do need to rely on your unit. Only a few minutes drive to St Albans station to get straight into St Pancras. Plenty to do in the area as well. We paid £12 per night for a family of 5 ! £34 for rail tickets for use all day in London on tubes buses etc inc return journey to St Albans (you do have to go and return off peak) Bargain !

Spent the weekend on this site. Absolutely first class in every possible way. Everything was spot on and the people could not have been more friendly or helpful.
We spoke to a few others about the site and heard nothing but praise. Well earned too if our weekend is anything to go by !
It is located just far enough from the main road so as it cannot be heard, yet close enough to be convenient

A spacious, quiet and pleasant site very convenient for St Albans. The basic amenities you get on a CL are perfectly adequate. On both occasions that we've stayed a very helpful young man has helped us get set up. There is clearly a potential problem in really wet weather but you are advised to park in such a way that they can to you off if necessary.
