We visited this site at the start of August this year and stayed for 6 days. I had chosen this site based on reviews I had read on other sites about it being quiet. We weren't really looking for somewhere with lots of organised activities and this one seemed to suit. However, after booking it I then read the last 2 reviews on this site about noisy parties and I was quite concerned but unfortunately had left it too late to organise anything else.
The site is located near L'Escala. Quite strange to get to as you go through quite a built up residential area but then the site is located under trees and is a 5 minute walk from the beach.
Despite booking ahead and advising that we were a 8m unit with a trailer there was still a look of surprise which is always a bit frustrating. We were allocated a pitch and made the fatal mistake of not walking over to look at it first - big mistake! Ended up trying to get to it the wrong way and having to reverse some way back.
The pitch was a pretty good size but did lack privacy from the people on either side of us.
We think the site itself was lovely. There was a swimming pool on site which did do some organised activities, as well as a shop and restaurant/take a way doing pizza and pasta. There was also a park area with swings etc for the children.
The toilet blocks were in our opinion really good. Seperate men and womens with proper toilets and showers that were not timed and were always hot. Facilities were kept really clean. There was also a motorhome service point.
The surrounding area was beautiful once you got out of the residential bits. We did not actually use the local beach. As we had the car we decided to explore the area a bit. The beaches are amazing on the Bay of Roses and we also visited Barcelona which is about 70 miles away.
There are a number of sites located around this one which I am sure offer organised activities such as discos and parties and I am sure if the wind is in the wrong direction you will be able to hear it. We did not experience any same sex groups - it was all families mainly from Holland.
I am pleased we did not cancel our booking and would go back again at any time.

Good site close to town with pitches terraced up a wooded valley. This is our first venture into Spain so only France and UK to compare against.
Very close to the beach and to fantastic ruins of Empures (Greek and Roman), and bordering a coastal forest which can be explored on foot or cycle. From the beach you can launch or hire canoes and explore inaccessible coves. The town of L'Escala itself is very quiet and pretty, Riells however is a classic med beach resort, perhaps not well known to British tourist but very familiar to Dutch and Belgians so expect traffic and development.
2 Shower/toilet blocks which was adequate although no hot water past 16:00.
Pitch sizes vary, and some have trees (as ours did) actually within the pitch. It was some challenge to get the tent on.
The reviews and the camp site web site describe how quiet it is. Unforntunately this was not our experience. The beach Disco started about 23:00 and went on till light. Also singles groups were pitched in with families and made noise until 2 or 3 in the am. What was disappointing was the lack of enforcement from the camp site staff who were all very nice (perhaps too nice)despite complaints from us and others. We as many others left earlier than planned mainly due to not getting sleep which is a great shame.
I would recommend the site if you enjoy late nights, lie-ins and beach activities- just not our cup of tea with relatively young kids.

The beach shown on their website (and the same photo appears next to its entry on this website) is not the one within walking distance of the campsite - that's actually a few miles up the coast. The beach you walk to, Cala Montgo, is very busy and when we visited, admittedly in peak season, not very clean.
The campsite facilities are fine and well-maintained/cleaned but I certainly wouldn't describe the pitches as 'huge'. They seemed pretty standard to me, although pitches up on the hill were more spacious (although further from showers etc). The pine trees provide shade but there's no other vegetation so there's no privacy. It was also pretty full while we were and again bore no resemblance to the pictures on the website.
Camping Neus is generally quiet both during the day and night but unfortunately while we were there there were 'raves' going on almost every single night somewhere in the vicinity - it sounded like the woods between the campsite and the beach - that often lasted until 5am.
The site shop is very small and you have to go into L'Escala (a five minute drive, ten minutes to the supermarkets on the outskirts) for any form of shopping. We thought L'Escala a bit of a dump - there's not a lot there. However further afield there's plenty to see: Girona, the Salvador Dali museum in Figueres, Barcelona etc. The nearby town of Toroella de Montgri was a nice place to while away a few hours.

Lovely quiet site, a rare and marvellous camping on the Costa Brava. Lots of shadow too, walking to the nice beach was incredible. L'Escala a nice old town with the Emperors ruins. There are so many flowers that the smell differs from one place to another

Cosy, small and very quiet camp-site at just 850m from the beautiful beach of Cala Montgo.
Their pitches are huge, with plenty of shadow, a cooling swimming-pool, tennis court, voleyball, table-tennis, internet and more.
Camping Neus is in l'Escala, on the Spanish Costa Brava, and it is quite a unique camping. Visit website too: I uploaded some of my pictures there. Cool
