I cannot tell you how beautiful Selsey is, you just have to visit.
The people are amazing, the sights, the caravan parks.
We will definitely be returning year after year if we can afford it.

We booked a "Haven Hideaway" and were given a caravan in Lagoon Field. Booking in was simple, we were allocated a time slot, joined a small queue and were greeted by a team who booked us in and directed us to our accommodation, all while still in our car.
The caravan was modern and clean. Beds made up and fridge turned on. Given that we'd booked a Bronze dog friendly caravan we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the caravan which had a full size 3 piece suite with footstools, a coffee table, dining table and chairs. The kitchen was fitted with a full size fridge/freezer, gas oven and a dishwasher.
The bedrooms were a good size with full size beds, made up for us and the double bedroom was ensuite.
We were located within easy walking distance of the lagoon in one direction and the harbour in the other direction. There was also a nature reserve which we didn't visit this time
We did not use any of the facilities so can't comment on them but I did see the swimming pools which looked a good size.
I can imagine the site might get busy and noisy during high season as most sites are but would recommend it out of school holidays. We thoroughly enjoyed our break there.

Family Holiday
2 adults 3 children 12, 10, 3
Pro's Upgraded clean static home.
Clean site.
Polite helpful staff.
Well supervised pools.
Very good kids activities.
Quiet at night.
Con's
Site machinery droning at 8am every morning.
Speeding vehicles ignoring 10mph including site staff on site vehicles. (I did report concern at reception)
Smokers smoking unchallenged in non smoking areas outside, smoke wafting across while we were eating. Smoking area next to open doors so smoke smell came in to restaurant.
YET we were stopped by security because we had a football in a pushchair and was not allowed to bring it through arcade as it was policy. We had to hide ball in a hedge.
Long queues for drinks some of the food was served warm and also not all served together so one of us had to wait easily 5mins each time for our complete order. This happened each time we ate at the restaurant.

We had an enjoyable stay at church farm. The caravan was spotlessly clean. It had all the usual facilities that come on a haven site. We made good use of the indoor pool, which has a flume. There is a nice adventure playground here which the children loved. They also enjoyed the arcade but just beware that a lot of the games are £1. 00 a go which soon adds up! There are also lots of activities on offer, some are free and the others ranged from £5 to £8 per child. You can have a nice walk from the site to pagham beach but it's not suitable for buggies or young children as its a long walk along pebbles. Bognor Regis is nearby and has a lovely beach. We also enjoyed a visit to Arundel. There is plenty to do in the area for families.

Four years have passed since our experience at Church Farm, Pagham and I still get shivers down my spine when I hear the word 'Haven'. Here is the letter that was the result of our stay, which I might add was sent to both 'Haven Head Office' and the 'Church Village' site itself, neither letter ever received a response and I keep them in my drawer at the office to show to anyone who decides on a Haven holiday.
18th October 2006
Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: Stay at Church Farm Holiday Village: 22nd – 25th September 2006
My family and I recently returned from a stay at Church Farm Holiday Village and would like to raise some issues about our stay.
Church Farm was chosen as a location to celebrate my Mother-in-Law’s 60th Birthday. We selected it based on your claim that “You’ll find Church Farm has a truly relaxed family atmosphere”. In total there were 10 people in our party and we booked 3 caravans; one Bronze (upgraded to Gold), one Silver and one Gold.
Checking In
The first point we wish to raise is that the checking in process was a complete farce. We had to ask staff where to check in and were eventually directed to the “Show Bar”, which couldn’t have been any further away from the car-park.
The Caravans
After getting our maps and keys we made our way to our caravan and were very disappointed to find that the Silver caravan (number 133A) was located right on the cross-roads and could not have possibly been located anywhere more noisy and more dangerous for a small child. There were cars streaming in and out and hordes of people walking right past the front door as they were trying to avoid the waterlogged road.
The caravan itself was quite honestly disgusting, there were dirty marks and smears all over the walls and doors which we had to clean with detergent before we had even started to unpack! The fridge positively stunk, the curtains fell off the wires and insects were crawling around the kitchen.
May I assure you that we are seasoned caravan campers and are very used to a little bit of dirt and nature, but in this case it was considerably unhealthy and certainly not the “High level of comfort” you describe on your website.
We then discovered that there was no child cot, so I had to go all the way back to the Show Bar and ask for one. They informed me that we should have picked one up when we checked in! We were not told to pick one up, this is the first time I have ever stayed somewhere where we have to pick our own cot up. We feel that the least you can do is deliver the cots to the caravans, especially as most people, like us, already have a fully packed car. If the car wasn’t as packed as it was, we would have had the space to bring our own.
I decided that now was the time to ask to be moved to a more suitable location and into a more comfortable caravan. I explained the problems to one member of staff who told me to speak to another member of staff, I explained the problems to this member of staff who proceeded to pass the buck to yet another member of staff! I was told that I would have to make my way to “Reception” and ask to speak with Warren. It was at reception where I met my Mother-in-Law who happened to also be making a complaint about the urine stained mattresses that were left in their “Gold” caravan from the previous occupants! Surely you would agree that this is utterly disgusting and not “Extreme Comfort Zone” as you describe this caravan on your website.
Warren met with me promptly and heard the issues that my wife and I had with number 133A, however he simply brushed some issues aside and stated that there were no caravans in which we could move to. He said that the noise would quieten down by the evening and all caravans were allocated. When I asked whether or not everybody had checked in yet, he said “No”, so I asked if he could move my wife and daughter into a caravan that had been allocated to somebody else, especially seeing us we had arrived earlier than others. He again refused to move us and started becoming quite unsympathetic. When I told him that I felt unwelcome here and would seriously consider not coming back, he took it as a threat and said “I do not take threats like that kindly sir” – is this really the way your “Allocation Manager” should be speaking with his customers?
On returning to the caravan with the cot, my wife informed me that you hadn’t provided bedding either. This time I decided to phone and ask that it be delivered and thankfully this request was fulfilled saving me another trip to the Show Bar.
That evening we were very tired and went to bed at 10pm, only to be woken at midnight by parents and their children returning from the bar. The children couldn’t have been more than seven or eight years old and were shouting and blowing on horns. Additionally, the traffic was still rolling past, contrary to what we had been told by Warren. We then found it very difficult to get back to sleep and it wasn’t until four O’clock in the morning when the noisy people stopped walking past.
The following morning my wife took it upon herself to make a second attempt to get ourselves moved. Again Warren became very defensive and took it all rather personally but thankfully moved us into number 124 Priory View. This of course meant we had to pack, put our luggage into the car then move and unpack. This time we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the caravan and the apparent quiet.
Our second evening, we were once again awoken late at night, this time by a fight in the caravan next door (number 126). Two men were arguing over the loss of some keys, the situation was quite obviously fuelled by alcohol. Nevertheless, my wife very bravely stepped out and knocked on the caravan door. She was very surprised to be greeted by the men’s Mother, who appeared quite apologetic and told my wife that the issue had been resolved.
Our third and final night was much quieter and made us feel that if we were allocated this particular caravan in the first place, we would not need to be making this complaint.
The Swimming Pool
The swimming pool changing area was dirty and cramped. There were not enough changing rooms and not enough space to get a child changed in. The lockers were badly positioned and the intimacy this caused was quite inappropriate. The children’s pool itself was too cold, it should be at least 30 degrees Celsius for young children, yet it was rarely 28 degrees.
Bar Food Portions
On our final evening, we decided to make use of your on-site food service and ordered some bar meals to enjoy outside while the children played. When these meals arrived, they were dreadfully undersized to the point that they were sent back and not paid for. The portions were not consistent with other meals we have had at Haven sites. The children had to go very hungry until we could get them back to the caravan and make them beans on toast.
All these issues made for a very unpleasant stay for all of us, particularly my Mother-in-law, who was deeply upset. She felt that the negative issues we had to endure were her fault because she had made the final selection to stay at Church Farm. We think this very unfair, she should not feel as though she is to blame for these outrageous issues and we feel that we have been hard done by.
We insist that you contact me to explain why Church Farm did not reach the “Comfort” and “Relaxation” which it boasts. I expect to hear from you within two weeks of receiving this letter with a resolution and appropriate compensation for each individual issue.
Yours faithfully,
|

This is a Haven/British Holidays site so you expect certain standards and they definitely were met. We've stayed on a few Haven sites and can safely say this is the best one yet. All the staff were friendly and helpful in every area of the park from entertainment staff to those in the shop. The site is smaller than some and doesn't have the full range of Haven facilities as the larger parks but everything is there for a great family holiday. The entertainment staff for the children "Fun Stars" were fantastic and PJ & Ross deserve a special mention for making our children's holiday such good fun. A lovely site in a lovely area with so much to do right on the door-step.
