This is an awesome, static and chalet only site in the most wonderful location just a five minute walk from Combe Martin beach and village centre.

We arrived a bit earlier than the 4pm check in time and the wonderful lady on reception took our number and said she waould call when the caravan was ready, we went for a stroll on the beach and half an hour later we got the call and the caravan was ready. We collected the keys, she explained the site and the local area and off we went.

We only had the basic two bedroom caravan, however it was very well equipped with everything you need for a holiday and it was very clean. The hot water worked well as did the heating and everything. 10 / 10 for the van.

We had a drink in the on-site bar and there is a pool table and a few games machines in the bar / restaurant. They sold a good range of beers, ciders and spirits and we did not eat here but the menu looked very reasonably priced with a selection of children's meals too. There is also a beer garden which is fenced off, so safe for the kids to have a play whilst parents enjoy a drink.

We found a playground in the middle of the park which seemed ok, and would certainly keep the children entertained.

There is an outdoor pool here, however it wasn't open as we were here very early in the season. This site does share facilities with their sister site up the road, but we did not venture there so cannot comment on them.

This site is just five minutes to the beach which is awesome when the tide is out, with loads of rock pools and caves to explore and is also dog friendly.

The village has everything you need from touristy shops for souvenirs to a chip shop, a large mini-market, baker, butchers and more. Everything you need, but if you prefer a larger supermarket, Tesco is just 10 minutes away in the car towards Ilfracombe.

The site is located right on the South West Coast Path offering tons of wonderful walks, which are quite hard being the cliff path, but well worth the effort. Little Hangman is a just over a mile walk away and the views from here are just stunning and we carried on to Great Hangman, had a spot of lunch at the Cairn and then returned via the inland paths. You can walk much further and the bus services are quite good to get you back to Combe Martin.

There are many wonderful places to visit locally from Ilfracombe, Watermouth Cove and Castle, Lynton, Woolacombe and so much more.

I would definitely stay here again as the costs were very reasonable and the staff were just so friendly and helpful, well done to them both.

The online booking was very well organised, detailed and efficient and the site lived up to its online description - being quiet, pleasantly situated, and very well kept.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were shown to our pitch on arrival which was comfortably big enough for our tent, car. Trailer and seating area - although we might have preferred a little more space between us and the next pitch and from the tarmac site road.

The shower block is the best we have ever seen after many years of camping holidays in the UK and Europe, with generously sized individual shower, wash and toilet rooms and even one room with a bath. Washing up and laundry facilities were in one end of the building and were as spotlessly clean as the wash facilities.

Our son enjoyed the free tractor and trailer rides around the site each morning and visited the playground - although this appeared a little neglected and hidden from the rest of the site.

The campsite is a short walk from the beach and the main street in Combe Martin. We enjoyed walks along the coastal path which passes close by the site entrance.

The village has a number of shops and several reasonably priced pubs and restaurants and also makes a handy base for visits to Ilfracombe (and the ferry to Lundy Island) and the North Devon Coast from Barnstaple to Lynton.
